My husband and I absolutely LOVE Laurel Ridge. Lucas and his staff are amazing: friendly, knowledgeable, and lots of fun! It is evident that the wines are presented with pride, and clearly the vineyard estate is a treasured place. (We cannot wait to visit the Carlton vineyard estate.)
Both of us were so impressed by the wines -- that after our third time visiting the Laurel Ridge Tasting Room, we asked about memberships. (Yes, we had to ask!) We had never purchased a wine membership before, but we were so taken with the wines and friendliness of Laurel Ridge...we signed up for the Friends membership. We also seldom write reviews, but Laurel Ridge merits this excellent review.
Not only are we supporting a local business that we believe in and enjoy, but we also have a place to take our friends and family. Nobody has been disappointed, and Lucas and staff always remember names and never cease to delight us with engaging conversation and delicious wines!
The Tasting Room is cozy with a friendly vibe. Blankets on the chairs, a cozy couch area, and well-spaced chairs and tables along with bar seating make the tasting room perfect. The charcuterie plates are delicious and the Springer Spaniel (Lucas's sidekick) will occasionally come over for a quick hello and a pat, which adds to the overall friendly ambience. There's plenty of parking over by the shared parking lot closer to Good Life side, if parking out in front is taken.
Above all, we look forward to our quarterly shipments of three great bottles wine. We love the Pinots, the Riesling, Winter Red, Oregon Roan, and the Rose! Don't get me started on Lucas's mulled wine -- we came in before our Christmas Eve party and filled up a thermos of this spicy warm treat that our friends and family raved about for days afterward. There are more wine favorites...but I have raved enough. Thank you, Laurel Ridge!...
Read moreOn a road trip from MA to Washington, we were passing through Bend when we realized we had not tried any Oregon wines yet. We stopped by without a reservation for a tasting and Kira was so welcoming and friendly to us. She gave us perfectly detailed descriptions of each of the wines included in the tasting and asked us about our wine preferences to try to tailor it better to us. We also got a charcuterie board and we were very pleased with both the charcuterie and wines. If we lived in the area, we would absolutely join...
Read moreI enjoyed the time here and this is much needed in Central Oregon with a solid wine approach in beer country. Walking in you feel not far from the vineyard and warmly welcomed by knowledgeable staff. We had a flight and an appetizer. Each wine represented the craft of the vintner nicely. Bigger reds showed a little nicer with a great pinot too. Location is great with other places easily in walking distance. Prices were fair for the quality. Parking is cramped but available. I will return when I am in the mood for...
