We have made a point numerous times to visit this place whenever we have spent time in Benz. It was always either too busy or closed. Today our luck changed! We got seating right away inside. It was a bit on the cold side, 39 +/- degrees. And the sun was shining - how much better could it get, not much! The menu has some vegan friendly options which is always much appreciated. The food menu is not extensive but what they have they do very well! The bier selection was great and the non-alcoholic options included kombucha and a house made ginger ale that was snappy good! We had the frites and hummus platter. Neither disappointed us. The frites were hot and deliciously fried in bier batter - try it you will love it 🥰🙌. The three speciality sauces were fantastically spicy to add to the flavor profile. The hummus had crispy capers with a light layer of olive oil on it. It came in what seemed like a small jar and surprisingly made it through the entire tray! The fresh veggies were plentiful and fresh. During the winter that is almost unheard of for restaurants. You won’t be disappointed with this stop! Cheers 🍻

Food was very bland. On all dishes. We got the Poutine. At $20 it was expensive and I thought there would be more meat on top like I have seen. Not enough flavor or gravy. The beef bourguignon red wine stew was just your basic boring pot roast.. but not soup liquid! Like they cooked it all down. But it still lacked flavor, richness and complexity like I have had before. $23 Porch small for price and not liquid stew portion. Pork Schnitzel Plate- The pork Schnitzel itself was large and crispy. Decent flavor. The noodles were lackluster and my husband was disappointed. It had an overwhelming flavor of mustard also vs being creamy and subtle. The other side was just... plain no seasoning at all slaw/cabbage. No Mayo, no seasoning of any type. Confusing.. I asked about the cabbage and was told I could get salt and pepper for it. I asked about a sauce or dressing or anything. She got me a cup of balsamic vinegar when just a tiny dollop would have been enough. Didn't use most of the balsamic vinegar. Wasn't told there would be a fee to fix their poor tasting salad. Charged .50 Nothing "bad" but nothing good either. Overall we were not impressed. Would not return.

Beer geek here and have been to Belgium a few times doing a few tasting at different old world breweries. Great beer style conformity here and it seems like they don’t use the same strain of yeast on every beer or at least the other processes mask it. Loved that! Anyway. Great beer if you are into the Belgium styles. Wish they had at least one Lambic offering through. Even if from another brewery. Food- fries are amazing. Butter noodles for kids is over priced and nothing to them. Poutine is Great but strange at a Belgium place. Few odd offerings in fact. Beef Bourguignon..So excited to see this on the menu but it was completely lackluster. Over wined, overcooked veg and under seasoned. Great Atmosphere but they crank the music up at some point which just means everyone started talking louder and it damaged the otherwise great ambiance a bit. Will go back for sure and do the mussels and fries and sip a quad.

I heard good things about this place but was disappointed. We came in right before the lunch rush, and watch three other tables get their food before us, later our waiter telling us our food is going to be late, so our first daughter had cold fries and our second daughter got warm fries later, but it was still raw on the inside. Our brussel sprouts were burnt we only had two of them that were actually pretty good. We we're so hungry I did eat burt brussel sprouts ($15) The lemonade and hot cider was really good. I would come here for drinks but not food but it was very disappointing on the wait and there was no accommodation for delay in food. I wouldn't recommend to anyone for food here, drinks probably. The seating area to my right was empty and supposedly clean but I saw food on the table and the seating and the floors which is telling me it wasn't very clean.

This place is top notch. I have spent many months in Belgium on different trips and always leave feeling sad knowing I won’t be able to get another Belgian beer for a while. But when I saw Monkless’s beers at grocery outlet this summer I got excited. I tried a few different brews and I was taken right back to Belgium. This place knows how to make authentic Belgian Trappist style beers—like the dubbels and triples! Yumm!! So when we were taking a trip through Bend we knew we had to add the brewery to our list so we could try more beers. The tasting flight was perfect! You can try any four beers you want for $10! And they are pretty good pours too! Everyone was nice and friendly. Can’t wait to go back for some more brews from their incredible balcony view of the Deschutes River!! Find us at arboursabroad.com or any social media @arboursabroad !!! Cheers!

Passing though Bend on a road trip, found this place on google and put ourselves on the waitlist. First come first serve, no reservations, has outdoor heated seating with plastic cover that allow dogs. We had 8 flights, a glass of Pour Pitiful Me (classic dark with cherries, cocoa, dark fruit), Mulled Monk (hot cider with Bourbon lemon cinnamon agave). Food: pretzel but actually pretzel sticks, muscles, roasted brussels sprouts, spaetzle. Food was really good for pub fare, portions were large (roasted Brussel sprouts were enough for 2 people), not overly spiced/salty/greasy/etc. Beer was the star of the show, if you love beer or Belgian beer then this is a must go!
