Service killed it for me- Food was decent but they got my order wrong, I waited a long time to be sat even though the restaurant was empty, and then I had to wait at least fifteen minutes for a server to come to my table (again, completely empty restaurant). When the server came to my table he brought a water and laid down the menu and didn’t say a word and walked off. Didn’t ask what I wanted to drink or anything even when he came back and picked up my menu. He simply said “ready?” As he was walking up to the table And I said “yes” and he walked off with my menu before I could tell him my order. My order was wrong and he brought me an extra roll that I didn’t order. It was on the same plate that my roll was on so I didn’t realize until he had walked away. I informed him I didn’t order the roll when I saw it on my check and he proceeded to reach across and open my to go box to make sure I didn’t take any of the roll with me. He also tried to convince me I had ordered the roll (I’m allergic to crab and I hate fish so I only order a cucumber roll EVERY time. So I know for a fact I didn’t accidentally order this) It felt very intrusive, rude, and weird. Overall, horrible service...

We used to come to the one here in Bend all the time until the one in Redmond opened. We have been going to the new one in Redmond since it opened as it is closer to home. However yesterday we were in Bend so decided to stop at the one in Bend. When we walked in the place was almost dead which we found to be rather strange since it was usually busy at noon. Once we were seated, we waited and waited and waited for someone to come and ask what we would like to drink with our meal. I finally took the drastic approach of turning around in my chair and facing the help trying to catch someone's eye. It was pointless. They were more interested in chatting up a group of pretty young girls sitting in another area or sipping they glasses of water or soda or whatever they were drinking. Finally after 10 minutes of being ignored, we got up and left. They saw us walk out and could have cared less. We drove back to Redmond and ate at the one there. No problems. We will not be returning to this one again. We will stick with the...

‘Twas the night before Veterans Day, and all the townspeople were hidden indoors; for the weather had turned cold and gloomy. We found our way into a quaint sushi parlor near downtown called Sora sushi. When we opened the door, we saw not one person was dining in. At first it was an ominous sight, but shortly one of the many chefs sat us down and we soon felt right at home. Almost as if we had hot tub time machined our way back to the early 50’s in Japan. I spent the better part of the summer on the ocean fishing for the very tuna we’d be eating tonight. Early morning and late nights on the ocean, miles from nowhere. Dangerous work it is. Rocking in the waves, splashing over the deck, and I’m back there hand-lining thousands of blast grade tuna. Praying I won’t get swept into the abyss. It seems it was all worth it. Sora really outdid themselves with this sushi tonight. I’d give it a try. It’s nice we can all break bread now one nation under God. God Bless America, and God bless...

Nice food, slowest service. If you have an hour to wait for your food, this may be a very good choice of a sushi restaurant. The prices are a bit under the other sushi restaurants in town, the ambiance is not much, but the time to wait for table food service during 6 PM- 9 PM is about an HOUR. My husband and I order 2 rolls of sushi. We waited 30 minutes in a near empty restaurant and the rolls never came. When my husband finally went up to the sushi chief and asked, the waitress stated, "OH We Had a Lot of Take Out orders". Obviously, the take out takes priority over the guests seated at their tables. The family sitting next to us, said they were waiting for their sushi for 1 HOUR and finally asked for it to go, since they couldn't wait any more. Then they waited another 10 minutes for the to -go order. No, I can not recommend this restaurant for a pleasant sit down sushi meal during 6-9 PM any day of the week. Perhaps if you eat BEFORE 6 PM it may be faster.

I really dont understand why ppl are rating this place so high? I know its a novelty and all but customer service was awful. We went for happy hour, sat down and waited apx 10 mins before we were explained how pricing and the belt worked. We were not offered a drink and so looked at the conveyer belt to see what was available. The majority of available plates were low end priced ones with zero high end plates. Black highest, blue, green and orange lowest. We only had 3 different blue plates as there was not much variety. A lot of the rolls were not well made and falling apart, the spicy tuna didn't taste very fresh and the pieces of tuna were small. The best sushi was the salmon nigiri, but that is farm raised salmon and inexpensive. I don't see a reason to go again. Bend has a few much better choices.
