Really? This is the first review? That's amazing to me. In a town known for it's love of the outdoors, craft beer, great food, and an emerging food truck lot scene ... Nosh Street Food is a "must eat stop" here in Bend.
Nosh Street Food is nestled in Bend's newest brewery/food truck lot at Bevel Brewing. As a side note, Bevel has quickly become my favorite brewery based in Bend. Why do I mention Bevel? Well, because great food should be paired with great beer. And Bevel is the creation of professional disc golfers and the outdoor space has an area you can try your hand at a little frisbee golf. But getting back to the food, which is the important bit here.
Nosh Street Food puts out restaurant-quality food, so don't let the word "street" put you off. I've eating here twice in the last month and I'm heading back in tomorrow for another $5 Rueben Slider + Fries lunch special. Here's where I have to admit that I can be a little lazy.
I was heading to a fast food place thinking it's close, quick, and tastes average, but hey, the weather is spectacular today, so why not. I don't even have to get out of my car. But then as I was leaving the garage I realized that for LESS money, I could get a better meal, in a fun outdoor setting, and not drive as far. It was then I realized that I am part of why corporate food exists in Bend, which honestly, there is no need for it with the number of good locally owned places to eat. But I digress.
Do yourself, your tummy, and your wallet a huge favor. Make a point to visit Nosh Street Food soon. You can't see if from the street, which makes it hard. But these guys deserve support of our community, or at least from people who like good food, buy local, and appreciate the small business owner.
Head over to 9th Street Village, where DIY Cave is out front and visible on 9th (just north of Wilson), and Bevel Brewing is in the back. Whatever you do, just get there. Open for lunch and dinner, you pick whether a beer or soda...
Read moreI tried NOSH Street Food today for the first time, all I can say is Nom Nom Nom! I had their Cubano sandwich w/ garlic parmesan french fries. The whole meal was fantastic! The pork was cooked to perfection. The pickles, mustard and soft bread just completed this perfect sandwich. And the garlic parmesan fries, mmm mmm! I’ll definitely go out of my way to enjoy their food again in the near future. Add to it the fact that they are located outside of Bevel Craft Brewing, so you can pair their great eats with an excellent beer,...

I got The Hood sandwich with pork belly and fries. First of all, there was no sauce on my sandwich. I had to go up and ask for sauce to put on it. When I opened it up the "pork belly" was overcooked strips of bacon. The "julienne" carrots were shredded carrots from a bag. The apples were actually cut by hand, but only a few were truly cut julienne.
Whoever was doing the cooking today is a Much better menu writer than...
