Pho Viet & Cafe @The Grove — Restaurant in Bend

The wife of the owner was on the counter when we decided to give this location a try and sadly being the owner of the establishment is quite extraordinary and unacceptable to treat customers the way we were treated. I asked if the used real fruit on their drinks and she responded offensively as if I was asking too much, the my daughter ordered a musubi and instead of the just saying its unavailable, she just pointed a sign behind her that say that they are out of musubi, she pointed it if she is saying “Can’t you see the sign!?”, it clearly shows she is having a bad day and taking it on customer is plainly unacceptable. We love to support local and we have been supporting their location on 3rd street, however, with what we experienced from the owner, we will stop supporting this business. Giving two stars because I do love the drinks here but man the customer service is absolutely awful!! Never greeted with a smile, often times ignored for at least a few minutes without any acknowledgment, every employee that I have encountered seems like they absolutely hate their job. What pushed me over the edge today was actually how the gal acted towards the guy that ordered after me, they were out of what he wanted so he needed to think for a minute about his order, she stood there visibly annoyed and rolled her eyes multiple times. It really takes more effort to be this rude than to just smile...

Pho Viet & Cafe is an absolute treasure! The Tai Nam pho and Bun Bo Hue are beyond amazing—I still can’t believe I found such incredible BBH right here in Bend! The broth is so rich and flavorful; I couldn’t stop slurping it up!

And the drinks—my go-to is the mango green tea with lychee jelly, extra sweet (yes, I know, but it’s just too good to resist!). Every sip is pure joy! The customer service is just as wonderful; everyone is so friendly and fun...
