T.J. Maxx — Local services in Bend

I ordered from TJMaxx with the understanding that shipping would be 5-10business days. It took SIX DAYS for it to leave TJMaxx. On the same day I ordered items from Sierra Trading and Ultra. Both those packages have arrived with only standard shipping. The TJ package will arrive within the 10days but as competition in the on-line sales world is high I assumed they would have it out the door promptly (other packages were received before TJ even got theirs out the door). Then I learned the order couldn't be cancelled -even though it had not been shipped and was still in their warehouse. The order was for a vacation that I will be on when the order arrives. Now I have to get someone to pick it up from my front porch (UPS can't stop it either apparently, despite a few calls to them), store it, then I'll have to return it when I am home from vacation which will waste my time and the time of the staff at the local store. DON't purchase from TJMaxx unless you have plenty of time for them to get around to shipping your order! It is clearly not...

I'm always amazed at range of products..specially seasonal ..like collectable trays and seductive cookware ( think pretty pink pots& pans from ol whats her name celeb who is " hot".again! )for a summer party or gifting..as well as huge Size range.of clothing... furniture straight out of magazines..pretty posh..minimalist to wowza..senior discount..exquisite jewelry looks like the $$$ Stuff..pop up greeting cards..purses totes and gourmet foods including truely gorgeous ribbon pasta...teatime jams and jellies with pretty tea cups,china and table scaping treasures!!! Baskets and rugs!!! Helpful staff and usually clean restrooms .. art supplies and luxury sweaters..purses and shoes..big "indulge Your pet" aisles..and great bargains st end of aisles..check out lamps that only look expensive! Bedding and toys..always nice stationery..paper totes..diaries..frames..and organizers..yes I do visit there...

This store is typically fully stocked & clean, however the cash registers are always understaffed. Frequently there are at least 10 people in line, if not more. Today was the third time that I've gone to checkout and decided to put my item(s) back and leave because the line is outrageously long. As a full time working parent, I don't have the flexibility in my day to stand in line for 20 minutes.

Edit: Updating my review to lessen the stars as this store still has not done anything to improve the long lines. I went back for the first time in months and again left without purchasing anything because the line still had ~20 people in it. When I got back to work from my lunch break, I mentioned this to 4 coworkers who ALL said they have ALL also walked out of this store due to the ridiculous line. It's August...it's not like it's a super busy time of the year...
