Buyer Beware!
I have loved Hobby Lobby to this point and spend thousands of dollars there yearly with my kids. Unfortunately I just had one of the most negative shopping experiences of my life. My daughter wanted to make a patchwork quilt and we couldn't find my sewing machine so I bought a singer there while we bought material. No one in the sewing section or at checkout mentioned to me that sales are final on machines. I opened the machine and looked at it and then my husband found my old machine so I reclosed the box with all the parts included. I took it back today, four days later, with the box re-taped and the original receipt. They asked if I had opened it and I was honest and said yes, but reclosed it. They showed me the tiny microscopic print next to an asterix on the return policy for machines (next to checkout, NOT on my receipt). They called the store manager, Steve, over and he didn't make eye contact with me, just said "No," and walked away. He wouldn't even respond to my request to open the machine and make sure it was new and original with all the parts and packaging. I was told by the clerk, "Sorry about that, you'll have to see the manufacturer will take it back." So now I have a machine I don't need and the knowledge that they truly don't care about their customers. I would have gotten better customer service at Walmart, which...
Read moreI've visited this store on numerous occasions. I made some Valentine's day purchases that were nice. Each time I have come into the store the shelves have items that are opened which shows a theft problem. Many of the shelves are half empty and there is freight all over the store. I walked through the entire store three weeks ago and passed several employees who all gave me dirty looks. I wanted to ask an employee for help, but they all gave me this look as if I was bothering them. When I called the store to ask for the manager, Jason, I got a very rude response from the lady who answered the phone and she hung up on me. There are some unique items in the store related to music, but the long lines at checkout, the rude employees, and the hostile environment make it a not fun store to shop in. When I did go to the register to make a purchase, the employee asked me if I was sure I wanted to buy my items, which was weird. When I shopped alone, a code came over the intercom each time, that is not comforting. It can be a busy store, but that is no excuse for the poor customer service. I haven't had good...
Read moreHighly do not recommend this store. Hobby lobby is all about being friendly and kind to keep their customers and this store is not about that. We were in on Friday evening and found a picture we wanted after wandering the store to find someone and not finding anyone we went up front to ask if they had another one in stock or could order us one in stock. The cashier was an older gentlemen and was really rude. He refused to call over the manager or anything. I walked over to a lady standing near the registers to ask her for her help she was the only person kind in the whole store. She calls over the manager to ask him about it and he was too busy on the his personal phone on a personal call. He told whoever was on the phone I love you got to go. He was just as rude and very unprofessional. Offered no help and would not order us this picture. Offered us $0.99 off a $70 picture that was broken. At the same time the store was being robbed by a lady. Called corporate about this situation and said the regional manager would give me a call and that has not happened either. It has now...
