I saw a long line in front of this place and decided to go in and order some food. Firstly, the cashier seemed to struggle with simple math as she miscalculated and told me that my $18 worth of items would amount to $30. After some discussion, she finally realized her mistake and corrected it. Secondly, the food took around 30 minutes to arrive even though I had informed them that I was waiting for it. They ended up putting it in the bag and giving it to me without keeping track of my order properly. Thirdly, I had ordered a buffalo blue cheese burger, but I did not taste any buffalo sauce on it, and the food was too salty. Lastly, there was very little ice in the fountain machine. I will not go there ever again.

A Chicago Dog is an all-beef frankfurter in a poppy seed bun, topped with yellow mustard, neon-green sweet pickle relish, chopped white onion, tomato slices, a dill pickle spear, pickled sport peppers and celery salt.

This dog was a regular bun (no surprise) with pickle slices and pickled jalapenos.

The pickles and jalapenos were not drained properly and made my bun soggy. The frankfurter was lukewarm. No seasoning.

I was visiting my brother and sister in law and before my air trip home that evening, we were starving after a long days work on the house and practically everywhere in benicia 1st street area was closed on a beautiful Sunday! BUT not Chars! We were craving some solid burgers and got exactly what we were hoping for. These fresh made burgers hit the spot! So yummy!!
