Been coming to this restaurant for a while can now give an accurate review: Bennett Asian Cafe is by far one of the best restaurants in the local community. Offering all the different styles of Chinese food. This restaurant does NOT operate like a Panda Express, as each dish you see on the menu is its own meal. You won’t have the ability to “customize” your meal like Panda Express or a $1.50 per Scoop shop. Common mistakes from customers is that they assume they can get Sesame Chicken with a side of noodles (which is rather impractical if you know anything about restaurants).
The service is always fast and friendly. When they get busy, sometimes it slows but they try their best to entertain you, have conversations with you, and maybe offer a drink or something to pre-occupy you. They offer discounts to first-responders and military (needs to be in uniform or have ID).
The atmosphere is cute, as it offers an outdoor and indoor dining area. It is just a basic diner set up and don’t expect any table service as this is strictly a grab and go business. They operate a lot like a casual dine-in experience where you order at the front, they deliver it to your table, and you are left alone with your food unless you need something else.
Prices are favorable as they have been one of few to not increase prices since COVID. You’ll see entries ranging from 13.95 to 14.95, but the portions are worth it. Never left hungry, always full.
Personal favorites: Wontons, Kung Pao Shrimp (has peanuts) w/ Steam Rice, pan fried pork dumplings, egg drop soup, and a Coke ($42.08...
Read moreWell...I ate the orange chicken 4 days ago with fried rice and got food poising. I am still recovering. Also had hot and sour soup which had too many mushrooms but I picked them out. I am sorry to say it was not very good or very orange chicken flavored. The fried rice did not have any peas carrots or egg for that matter. I did love that the canned pop was $1.00 though! That's rare to see. The dishwasher guy is literally to the left right as you walk in behind a divider which seems unprofessional and awkward. They didn't hide it well. I watched the employee do dishes as we waited for our to go. 😬. The freezers are in the small "dining/sitting" area so a worker came from next to the disherwasher guy/kitchen (feet from the register) to grab a bucket of soy sauce. That was awkward too. But the guy who took the order was nice though he declared it the best Chinese food. 🥴Maybe try the sweet and sour chicken, the other people with me got that and did not get sick and definitely get the cold $1.00 can of...
Read moreI’ve been to this local Chinese restaurant in Bennett several times now, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite spots in town. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served hot. Every dish I’ve tried has been delicious, from the perfectly crispy egg rolls to the flavorful stir-fry and fried rice. Portions are generous, and you can tell they take pride in the quality of what they serve.
What really makes this place stand out, though, is the service. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming, whether it’s dine-in or takeout. They treat you like family and make sure you’re happy with your meal every time. It’s nice to have a place in a smaller town like Bennett where you can always count on both great food and great service.
If you’re in the area and craving Chinese food, I highly recommend stopping by. It’s the kind of spot that makes you want to keep coming back, not only for the food but for the warm, positive experience. A true...
