Los Charros Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Bennett

Two weeks ago, on Monday, January 6th, 2025, one of my aunts came out for dinner, and we went to the restaurant. It was a Monday night, and before a snowstorm, we weren’t sure what was open, but I wanted to try this restaurant, so we did. There was open seating, and we almost immediately got Chips & Salsa. We asked for Bean Dip, which was delicious. I ordered the Fish Burrito or whatever its name is, and typically, I’m not a Chili person, but I figured I might as well try it again. I ate it, but what stood out was the Owner, the other Owner, and the Head Chef immediately recognized us because we’d been going to the other restaurant the other owner owned for years, Being Happy Burrito; there was no free stuff. Still, we got the head Chef’s attention, and they came out and hugged my mom! It’s those little moments when the people you’ve eaten from for many years recognize you and give you the same service as the other restaurants or Restaurants they own! Also, just to clarify, The Head Chef is the Chef from Happy Burrito, who left to take another job. They are still bringing the same taste and Magic that Made Happy Burrito, Happy Burrito, and they are doing it with Los Charros...

We broke down an hour from home on an 18+ hr road trip and had our vehicle towed to the next door auto shop. While waiting on the vehicle diagnosis, we called this place to see if they had outdoor seating. We didn't have a lot of options to go to an indoor restaurant while we waited because we had our dog with us. Fortunately, the waitress that answered was more than happy to oblige! We walked over and she had already completely swept the back patio out for us and cleaned off the picnic table for us as well. I don't know if they usually offer outdoor seating, but it seems like they went above and beyond to accommodate us. Right off the bat, phenomenal service!!! That wasn't even the best part, the food was AMAZING! I'm from deep South Texas and grew up on Tex-Mex/Mexican food and this was HANDS DOWN the best Mexican food I've ever had since living in Colorado. We reside in Greeley now and I would definitely drive the hour back to Bennett to visit this establishment again. Wonderful people running it and beyond delicious cuisine. This is TUFF!!!, I don't want you to go to this restaurant!!, I want to keep it for myself,,😁 It's really really good, Guacamole,, certainly one of the best I have ever had, it's absolutely as good as mine!! Chips are warm and fresh, the salsa is perfect, spices spot on, heat not crazy, flavor,, out of this world, yep,,might be better than mine!, tacos are very good, prices are fair, coin margaritas are pretty good, a little syrupee, (it's a word!), but not overly syrupee!!, that's just me, like my margs more lime than sweet. It's really like going to eat at your best friends place, the one you can't wait to have a party, because everything is always fantastic. You may have to park across the street, it's Bennett, it'll work, be sure to leave a good tip, these guys work hard, want you to be pleased with your meal, and make you feel like everything they made for you, was a something they are proud to...
