Happy Burrito Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Bennett

Small town Cafe atmosphere, but the food was plain and uninspiring. Good service, but they really dropped the ball on flavors, and pricing was not on par with quality. They should perhaps rename the restaurant to the bland burrito. 2 stars. This was about 6 months ago

Went back there a few days ago and ordered the "new" breakfast burrito, large with chorizo and the usual pickins "smothered" with mild sauce.

This was a night and day difference for me over the first time. The burrito was filling, flavorful, and satisfying. This time, the quality of food was not just on par with price, but also seemed to exceed its price point in a great way where you truly feel like you got the full value of your dollar. I am upping my rating from 2 to 4 with no hesitation. I heard from a local that the old chef moved across the street, and the new chef is more breakfast/lunch friendly.

My only caveat is sauce consistency. I was encouraged to only use mild sauce because it's overly spicy for mild (I like hot). But the two times I tried it were worlds apart.

The first time, the mild seemed extremely light. Flavorful, but lacking in any heat whatsoever. Disappointing. The second time, it definitely brought about a sweat on me, that you normally wouldn't have on a 20-degree day. and I have a high tolerance for spice. So, my advise is to start weighing your ingredients/proportions instead of measuring them In a cup. You'll get more consistent results and bring more customers In.

That's the worst I've got. So I think you all are doing a pretty good job....

This is a true meaning of hole in the wall. Authentic mexican food..from , gorditas, tortas and mexican breakfast..they have it all! The aguas frescas are also amazing! Even though it's a drive we will go back just to try different plates. I order the gordita de chicharron even though different from what I'm used to they were not bad at all I also had a gordita of desebrada which was also good. Husband had there burrito of chorizo con huevo y papas..let me tell u my husband hates chorizo but this is the only place he will have it...that should say something. My kids had the pancakes and eggs..fyi better then IHOP!...

You all are outstanding! We had a lunch catered and it was absolutely delicious and well priced. It was neatly and safely packed, as well. You guys always do a great job.

I would also like to add that I called the other Mexican restaurant in Strasburg for a price on catering, and I was told they wouldn't cater a lunch for 13 people because of a lack of kitchen employees even with a week's notice. When I walked into your restaurant, it looked like three of you made our lunches and ran your business like usual. Huge kudos to your hard work.
