Club House Diner — Restaurant in Bensalem Township

Went here years ago and did not enjoy the food or salad bar. To be fair, I figured I would give it another shot chalking up my past experience as an off day. Well, I should've just stayed away. First, when we were seated the waitress never acknowledged us and went straight to the table that came in after us. The owner had to tell her that we were there first. She was annoyed by that. I ordered the crab stuffed chicken breast with lobster sauce and salad bar. The salad bar is a joke. No toppings for the wilted, soggy lettuce except huge slices of tomatoes, onions and olives.(where is the carrots, broccoli, egg, cheese, bacon bits, croutons, etc.?) If you are going to boast about an award winning salad bar, at least have something besides prepared pasta salads and some funky colored unidentifiable side items.

So when my stuffed chicken comes, it was dry as a bone and kind of tuff to cut with a sharp knife. The crab stuffing was more stuffing than crab and there was no lobster sauce topping. At least the lobster sauce would've helped with the dry bland flavor.(maybe)

Lastly, when we were finished, the waitress asked us if we wanted anything else and just handed us the check. Now, my meal was a special that included dessert and when I asked her if I could get it, she said, "Well you didn't tell me that you wanted it!" Shouldn't she have said that it was included and given me a list of choices automatically? She finally came back with my dessert and with her best fake smile, handed us the check (again) and wished us a goodnight. (aka adios)

I never usually give reviews for places to eat, but I felt so strongly about this food and service that I felt it necessary to warn others. Don't eat here, go ANYWHERE else and you'll...

This place was the absolute worse place to eat at. Never again will I come here I will travel to Jenkintown to eat at Ihop before I waste my time and money. The food was horrible and the service was even worse. Food was just thrown together more than likely food that sat for hours and they just warmed it up. Took about 30minutes for the food to even come out to our table. 24hrs and cannot even serve fresh food to your customers. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE WAIT TO EAT UNTIL SOMETHING ELSE IS OPEN. Philly has better 24hr diners with fantastic food. Chef Gordon Ramsey should come out and help you guys revamp everything from the look to the way the food is prepared and served presentation is everything this place sucks. I got my food at approximately 4:25am around 5:30 I started to develop strong nausea and vomiting with excessive diarrhea. It's 1pm and I'm still having the same symptoms. I ordered the cream chipped beef with home fries and nothing about my plate was tasteful at all went back into the establishment to speak to someone about the experience and Mimi tried to be at polite and professional as she could be due to the fact that they had a full house but i was not pleased with how she handled our complaint at all. Here at the emergency room as we speak and the docs are saying that I have food poisoning. For my first time eating there I am truly disappointed and completely appalled by the way the staff gave dirty looks to myself and my family. Food was pretty good as far as diner food is, had brunch here about a week ago .. restaurant had some customers when we got there, maybe a half dozen and we didn't have to wait, we were seated right away. After the 3 of us ordered breakfast meals with coffee and orange juice, it then took 25-30 minutes to get the meals. Waitress totally forgot one orange juice and then we didn't see her until the meals were delivered and we started eating. When she did Pop back out and we questioned the missing Juice, she never ordered it or charged for it. The reason she popped back out was to bring us our check which she proceeded to rip up since she had to charge for the missing Juice but at that point, we no longer wanted the juice as the meals were pretty much done. She brings over another check and that too was wrong because we ordered two coffees, 2 waters and 3 orange juice. She had us charged for one too many coffees and still charged us for the juice we never received...upon bringing us the third check, you could see she was annoyed because she then took the plate of food we were waiting for a box for along with a few other dishes. I was in the bathroom and was the one waiting for the to go box but now the food was gone and I just gave up. Paid the bill, left her a 8.00 tip that was already too much for a 34.00 bill and left. At this point, why bother speaking to a manager? I was too annoyed to even want to. Pretty sure I will definitely not be returning...I totally understand everyone has bad days but this was...
