If I could have given this 0 stars I would have. This Painting with a Twist Franchise will lose mine and my family's business. Store Owner Sue was extremely unaccommodating and rude. I registered to attend a private party being held here. I had to pay the money in order to reserve my seat in order for the hostess to be able to have the room saved for her party. I am a cancer patient currently in treatment for Leukemia and started to not feel well last night. I called the store since it was 24 hours notice (if you look on the Painting with a twist website you are allowed to cancel your reservation 24 hours in advance). I called hoping to get either my money back or store credit. Well nobody answered so I left a message. This morning I woke up with a severe headache and threw up blood and had a nosebleed. My doctor had me immediately come into the hospital to have a cat scan of my brain to make sure there was no internal brain bleeding. I then called Painting with a Twist again and was faced with the answering machine for a second time. The store owner finally called me back at 6:30 pm tonight. Thirty minutes before the event was supposed to begin. I explained the whole situation for her and she was rude the entire time on the phone telling me that she can not help me and that people do this all the time and that I should never have reserved my seat I should have paid at the door the night of the event. This was not even an option because the hostess of the party needed to have a head count for the store. Sue continued to tell me that I was a bad customer because I did not give 48 hours notice. Last I checked I had not planned on getting sick and ending up in the hospital. I informed Sue of this and she said there is nothing she can do to help me. What bothers me is not even the money anymore, it is the principle behind...
Read moreI've never participated in a painting class and was looking for something different to do with my boyfriend. The "Winter Dock" event offered by Painting with a Twist turned out to be the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon together. Friendly from the moment we walked in, we were greeted and given directions and everything we needed to settle in for the class. People streamed in with beverages and snacks, some very elaborate! Definitely gave us ideas for future classes. Nicole, the instructor, was entertaining, patient, and capable, providing clear instructions on how to achieve each step of the painting. I never felt like I didn't know what I was doing. In addition to her demonstrating on a little stage so we could see her through the entire process, she also came around to provide support and encouraging comments. The two large video screens on either side of the room were also a helpful more up close aid. The camaraderie in the studio was very enjoyable as well, and it was just interesting to see the work of other people, some very accomplished artists. All in all we agreed it was time well spent and are already making plans for future events we hope to share with family and friends. Also, from a "couples" perspective, it offers a unique opportunity to get to know your partner in a new way, and create a memory you can literally look at and say, "Remember when..." Thank you to all the staff that day for an inspiring and...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of attending a painting class at Painting with a Twist, and I must say that Colleen, our instructor, elevated the experience to a whole new level. From the moment we walked in, her infectious energy and sense of humor set the tone for what turned out to be a truly memorable evening.
Colleen's comedic flair added an unexpected and delightful twist to the painting class. She effortlessly blended art instruction with humor, making the entire process not only educational but also incredibly entertaining. It's not every day that you find an art instructor who can make you laugh while guiding you through the steps of creating your masterpiece.
Colleen's unique blend of talent and humor made the entire class fly by, and before we knew it, we were all proudly displaying our finished artworks. It's safe to say that Colleen turned what could have been a routine painting class into a memorable and laughter-filled experience.
If you're looking for a painting instructor who not only knows her stuff but also knows how to make the process enjoyable and entertaining, then Colleen at Painting with a Twist is the one to choose.
