Walked in here mid afternoon to get some sweets. Was only looking to buy just a small half pound box, but the man that was behind the counter said a half pound would give me only 3 pieces. So I went with one pound. Even with that box, it didn’t even have a full pound and was more than enough (definitely would have gotten more than 3 pieces in 1/2 lb).
The place wasn’t that clean itself and the sweets didn’t look too fresh. The trays of sweets on top of the counter were covered in plastic wrap but they weren’t covered properly. I asked for two pieces of the milk sweet and he was about to give me them from the new fresh tray inside where the refrigerated sweets were but then another lady told him to basically get rid of the one that’s were left out on top of the counter. First of all who leaves milk sweet outside?? It’s supposed to be refrigerated.
As far as taste, it was not good at all. No freshness either. Not much of a variety like other Indian sweet shops. Would not...
Read moreThis is a classic example of how you can run a good restaurant into the ground. Just a few months ago, this place was excellent—great food, great sweets, and decent service. But the new staff has ruined it. The customer service is poor, and the food quality has dropped drastically.
A couple of weeks ago, I bought 2 lbs of sweets. They were dry, stale, and had a bad taste. When I questioned it, the lady insisted they were fresh—but they clearly weren’t. That should have been a red flag.
And now this: I came in at 8:20 PM (a full 40 minutes before closing), and the lady at the counter told me the restaurant was closed because they were cleaning up. I walked out, called from outside, and suddenly she was able to take my order for takeout. If the kitchen was really “closed,” then where were those parathas coming from?
It’s disappointing to see how far this place has fallen. What used to be a reliable spot for good food and sweets is now a...
Read moreI recently visited Punjab Sweets and was blown away by the incredible variety and quality of their traditional Indian sweets! The shop was clean and welcoming, with friendly staff who were happy to help me choose from the vast array of options.
I tried several different sweets, including the gulab jamun, jalebi, and barfi, and each one was more delicious than the last. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the textures were perfect.
What really impressed me, though, was the clear passion and care that goes into making each and every sweet. You can tell that the team at Punjab Sweets is dedicated to preserving traditional recipes and techniques while also innovating and adapting to modern tastes.
Whether you're a longtime fan of Indian sweets or just looking to try something new, Punjab Sweets is a must-visit destination. I can't wait to go back and try more of their...
