I want to start this by saying I have been to MULTIPLE El Limon locations, including Ambler, Flourtown, and Conshohocken. The service at those locations were timely, the staff was so nice, and the food was incredible. I recently moved closer to the Bensalem location - so I decided to go on a date with my fiancé to go ur favorite spot out of convenience. Boy were we disappointed. We walked in to a location where all of the seats were back to back, we were basically on top of other people, but we tried to look past it. Someone didn’t come to seat us for a good 5+ minutes while all the other patrons (which weren’t many) were already eating. We got looked at up and down at least 3x before being seated. We were then asked if we wanted chips salsa and guacamole to which we replied yes. I went to the bathroom, came back, and my fiancé tells me he hasn’t even been approached. We sat there while everyone ate, and two waitresses walked past us at least 7-10 times, looking at us up and down but not asking if we needed anything. And we never got the chips and salsa! We gave it 30 mins with not a single approach so we left. Service was terrible, and I’ll stick to traveling further for better service. Will not...
Read moreAs a late dinner in the hotel my partner and I are staying in we decided to order food through grubhub and try this place out. The menu looked wonderful, everything seemed great and well priced. I decided to get the "Vegetables Torta," and when it arrived it looked absolutely wonderful. I dug in and made it most of the way through my sandwich, but eventually I felt something weird in my mouth. Something hard, something that definitely was far from a vegetable. I pushed it out to the front of my mouth and was astonished to find a metal screw. I've heard horror stories of metal pieces being found within people's food, but this is beyond anything I could have imagined. Why are there screws in the kitchen? Why would screws be anywhere near the food prep area? By the time my food arrived and I found this in my sandwich, the resturant had closed by 2 minutes, meaning I couldn't reach out to anyone about this insane hazard in my food. Honestly? You probably shouldn't order from this place. You're either ordering from some sort of filthy, unsanitary kitchen, or you're ordering from someone who gets kicks out of putting sharp metal in...
Read moreHave eaten at the Bensalem location several times and liked it but this recent visit was disappointing and not because of the food. My wife and I were there on a Saturday night for dinner. After getting our food, it seemed like our server was more interested in his phone than making sure everything was good. He finally came around when we were pretty much finished. We asked for the bill and said we were paying with cash as usual. When we checked the tab amount, we saw that a 25% gratuity had been added. This is the first time an automatic gratuity had been added and we told the staff we did want it on the bill especially since there was only 2 people and we paid in cash, not plastic. Additionally, it was not noted on anything in the restaurant. It was reluctantly removed and we tipped an amount we felt reflected the level of service we received. We are generous tippers normally, but this will be our last visit if the policy is to automatically add that...
