Ordered a pepperoni pizza. It took over an hour for it to be delivered. When it arrived it was ice cold. We called to complain and they said what you don't want it. Send it back. So we paid to keep our ice cold pizza because we were starving and our car is out of commission. We used to order from here all the time. Now I remember why we stopped. This USED TO BE the best pizza place in Bensalem. I've lived here my whole life and tried them all. I don't know what happened to this place but I won't be using it anymore. :(
Nov 2017..... tried to give this place another chance ordered a pizza for home delivery had a dollar off one large pizza coupon. They have a delivery fee of a dollar. The pizza was $9.43 the soda was $2.75 and delivery fee of $1. They didn't take the dollar off the pizza they took it off the total bill. They also charged me tax on the whole bill including the delivery charge. I know it is not much but the dollar delivery fee is for the driver and there is not supposed to be tax on that. Most people won't even pick up on the fact. I called the restaurant to discuss it and the person on the phone said I will send the delivery driver back with your $0.20. I told him nevermind I was just pointing it out but he made that poor driver come back and waste his gas and time. How uncomfortable did I feel that driver had to come back. I didn't take any money off of him I was highly embarrassed. Not to mention how flip the person was on the phone and the money that he owed me was more than $0.20. He was a smart ass. I would never make someone come back to give me that I would have just said give it to him as part of his tip. It was not about the money it was the principal and the way that I was disrespected. Secondly $2.75 for a bottle of soda is a ridiculous price I could go to Philadelphia and pay less with their soda tax.
Might I add old Roman Pizza was the only pizza place I would get pizza from I have lived here in Bensalem for almost 50 years. I have bought a lot of pizzas over the years from here. The quality of their food has most definitely gone down and their customer service is horrendous. Maybe they didn't realize what they were doing wrong with the bills but the fact that they mocked their customer is one reason why I will never order from there again. I have a large family we all used to order from old Roman Pizza. There are eight kids in my family that's a lot of food from one restaurant...
Read moreWas a customer with Old Roman for well over 15 years. Called an order in for delivery. After giving the order to the young lady, over the phone, she asked me to hold on for a moment. She then came back on the phone and asked me for my order. When I told her I just gave you my order, she said, "oh, hold on." She then hung up on me. Now I was irate, so I called back and some man answered. When I told him you hung up on me, he proceeded to tell me how busy he was and offered no apology. Then started screaming at me, repeatedly asking me, "do you want the order or not?" And then said, "go somewhere else for your food," and then hung up on me. A few minutes later, the young lady calls me and repeatedly asks, "do you want the order or not?" When I said no, she said ok. This place seems to be under the impression that they're doing me a favor by allowing me to order food from them. Where a simple apology for what transpired could have saved a loyal customer, they chose to be arrogant and independent. Fortunate for me, there are nearly a dozen pizza establishments in the Bensalem area. Maybe someday Old Roman will wake up and realize what the definition of a customer is, but for now, good bye and good riddance Old Roman. I see by your canned responses to other dissatisfied customers that next time will be better. Well, there is no next...
Read moreI'm very disheartened to post this review, as my family has ordered from Old Roman for years. We ordered a white Sicilian pizza with broccoli, and when we got home we discovered the pizza was burned black on the bottom and had a thin coating of red sauce underneath. We paid $23 for a pizza that is advertised on their website as having NO sauce and received a re-cooked pizza that was rushed out the door. Upon calling the shop and calling them out on this, I was told they water the sauce down and use it to keep the other ingredients on the dough as it cooks... That's not how a white pizza is made. This was a sheisty move by this shop to cut corners. We'll be ordering from somewhere...
