There are meals you eat, and then there are meals that quietly realign your spirit. I came in craving something to soak up Saturday night's decisions — what I got was a full-body reset wrapped in an everything bagel.
The sausage, egg, and cheese was nothing short of a masterpiece. The bagel — toasted just to the edge of golden, chewy in the center — cradled the fillings like it had been waiting its whole life for this purpose. The yolk hit warm, the cheese hit soft, and I swear I saw colors again.
The toasted bagel with cream cheese? A simpler joy, but no less moving. Crisp edges, smooth spread, a quiet kind of perfect. The kind of thing that doesn’t need to impress you — it just shows up, calm and steady, and makes your whole morning better.
And the staff — truly, the soul of the place. Warm, kind, and somehow effortlessly in tune with whatever kind of day you’re having. They don’t just serve food — they offer comfort, with a side of grace.
The space hums gently with good energy. It feels like the kind of place where stories begin, where hangovers end, and where a great bagel might actually heal something deeper...
Read moreI accidently stumbled upon these bagels at a place called Lou's in Bensalem. They had a bag of discounted leftover bakery and I decided fo try them.
They were the best bagels I've ever had in my life. I made my husband a steak, egg, and cheese sandwich with one. Now, this man does not like bread like that but we were out of rolls, so bagel was the best option. He ate it and was astounded at how good they were and immediately asked if I could go back and get more.
Apparently, according to Lou's staff, I got very lucky with the bag of discounted bagels because normally they sell out, and they were by the time I stopped in. Luckily the employees were able to point me in the direction of Redhouse. I can't wait to try them fresh from the source because these bread rings slap way harder than any other slapping bagel place I've ever tried. 11/10 would get up at 6:30 AM for these...

Awful customer service: Before Covid-19 and during it, its never changed, trying to get through to place an order over the phone is the worst customer service experience. For some reason they dont just place you on hold so instead you literally have to be the one lucky person to call during the perfect second to get to the one person taking orders. The result: Me spamming their phone line where its either busy, somehow disconnected?, or it rings 10 times and nobody answers.
Id rather have slightly worse bagels than be subjected to that as if its a game, before atleast i could drive there to place an order in the really long lines, now you cant place an order physically at all due to Covid so it makes absolutely no sense why trying to call them...
