I have already posted a review for Parx. But feel the need to update.. as it has been some time since my last review., I had hoped Parx would change the way they treat the many people who are loyal patrons. Ahhh… that would be a resounding no.
They have not. If anything their treatment is not just poor now.. it’s abysmal. It’s like they have such little regard for their customers.. they don’t even have to try anymore. And it is not their workers that they also treat with such little regard. I am not taking about the bathroom attendants, floor attendants..food court employees etc.. they work hard .. because I have observed a definite disconnect with Parx and their employees. They have gotten the whole customer service speech with a smile. But you definitely can read between the lines.. Parx cares as little for their employees as the corporation does for their patrons… although I will say it baffles me how much Parx has dropped the ball on this employee .. there is a male food court employee that works the night shift at “ Foodies”. He seriously needs to cut his extremely crazy long hair, or be made to put a hairnet on it. The first time he served me food… I was so taken aback that he was serving food with hair like that uncovered ., “ wow.. you have so much hair”. He actually took it as a compliment and said “ thank you” .. . But then I followed up to make sure he was aware i was not ok with having someone serve me food who obviously had no training by Parx on proper food handling.. I said . “ no I meant you have so much hair.. you should have a hair met if you are working with food for customers” .. he looked at me confused. And just handed me order.. and acted like he didn’t understand when I explained I was not satisfied with my service. . Subsequently.. when I have gone back into Parx he has been working. He still has not covered his hair. This is the service you can expect from Parx now.
And I get it.. “ freedom of expression” .. but I do not agree with that when this guy is handing me food to eat..And please comment if you have ever been shocked when this person has taken your order.. and served you food. Because I know I am not the fist person that has been disgusted. Just the first person to say.. “‘hey Parx.. I am not ok that you could care less about the many people that spend so much money at your site. And you could not be bothered to make sure when we decide to eat here., there will not be hair...
Read moreCame here with a friend of mine. Had to wait 35 minutes for a reservation because they were busy. We came back at 9 pm and the host sat us down immediately.
Pros: Bread/Biscuits we loved i! Firecracker shrimp appetizer with lemon romaine lettuce and arugula on bottom - generous amount of shrimp and delicious! Asparagus in lemon oil side dish - loved the size of asparagus and taste, although I do believe the flavor was something you could cook at home. Decorum of restaurant Waiters
Cons: Ribeye Steaks - we ordered two of them: 1 with bone out, medium-rare. And one medium-well bone in.
When we got the steaks, it looked delicious. But I noticed mine didn't have the bone in, which it was supposed to.
I cut into my medium-well steak and it was extremely bloody. I asked my friend how his was and we noticed his looked more cooked. I requested to switch plates with him saying, " maybe they switched the plates by accident and you got mine." I continued cutting into my now more cooked steak and it was getting bloodier and bloodier. I tried using the sauce on the plate but it was very nasty and extremely salty. I had to push the steak to the side and go back to eating the biscuits. The waiter noticed and he offered to bring it back to get it cooked some more.
Waiter brought the ribeye back and I continued to cut and it got bloodier and bloodier again. So now, I'm done trying with my meal.
Flavor was just ok for the meat. Honestly I could've cooked better for the flavor at home and I'm a horrible cook. Fatty crispy areas had a lot of flavor and I enjoyed that.
Overall, ribeye was atrocious for $40 each and although the decorum was beautiful and firecracker shrimp was spectacular and waiters were kind, the ribeye main course was completely atrocious even after trying to fix it, I would not...
Read moreEaster Sunday Parx Casino invited me to "Parx Grill" and if want a top shelf experience I highly recommend it. I must mention the people who made the day even more special. My hostess Lauren, is the best and takes care of me with everything Parx. We all want a "Lauren" in our lives. I was greeted by two young ladies, Melanie McClosky and Mia M, who made me feel very special even though I was late for reservation due to a communication problem with my Mom. They saw I was alone and they found me a great table for people watching after ordering. I had the Jumbo shrimp the were outstanding. They were followed by a filet mignon cooked exactly as I asked along with more shrimp, scalloped potatoes and asparagus. I must have asked my server (extraordinaire) Stephanie to tell the chief how much I enjoyed this perfect dinner 3-4 times, but with a smile humored me. After a meal like that I almost never eat my desert, but the 5 layer chocolate cake with whipped cream and fresh fruit had to me tasted before I took it home to enjoy when had more room in my stomach. The whole "Parxgrill" experience is a must when you visit Parx Casino in Bensalem, Pa The review is this long because I was that impressed by the food and the staff who made a very special experience that you will not forget. Bon...
