11/16/2023 Wow 5 years ago. We must order from here every week or at least every other week. Sometimes you forget to recognize the consistent service and the great food you're a local restaurant gives. We have known Robin for many years now way before COVID and the love she shows us and for the food she puts out can't compare to any other restaurants in this whole NE region of the US. If you look at my 3 accounts you can see I have eaten a lot of places that have come and gone. But this place is in our top 5 and we love them. Always constituent they have their own driver gets delivered hotter than if I go myself to get the food. Don't forget to tip your driver well. The Price is the best value and quality is better than any that I have eaten. I can only think of one in NJ that even comes close. I want to say please support your local business here as most doesn't come close. General Tso's Chicken is all white meat breast and is what's my go too.
6/15/18 Chinatown has nothing on this place. When your favorite go to Chinese food gets better it's a great day. I had the General Tao's chicken again today and it was even better than the last time I had it. Yum. 😋
Today I got the amazing chicken is was amazing. Just remember no lunch specials on Sunday. I Always get the General Tao's chicken because it's all white meat and my wife loves the general tso's shrimp. The lunch specials are the best deal here that will come with soup. There are a couple other items that I like for the price like the amazing chicken, the crispy beef, the teriyaki chicken is delicious. My wife loves the General Tao shrimp, we've had the sweet and sour chicken delicious. I can't think of anything that we have ordered that we really didn't like. BTW often this place gets mixed up with Hong Kong Chinese which is about 2 miles from this location they're not related not the same company and don't know each other. often people order delivery from Hong Kong Chinese thinking it's Hong Kong star and it's not and do not get good service the Hong Kong Chinese is in the park wood shopping center, and this is not that place. So if you see any reviews that are bad for delivery 9 times out of 10 someone has gotten these locations mixed up or assume that they're the same company. You can look up both location for yourself and see it's totally different. there about 1.9 miles apart just keep that in mind when you're reading...
Read moreI'm a NYC Foodie and know good food, especially ASIAN FARE. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME PATRONIZING THIS PLACE! I ordered Shrimp Pad Thai which was mediocre at best along with a small Egg Drop soup and (which I emphasized) fresh mustard for the soup. The soup never arrived with the food? Okay, NO BIG DEAL AS WE'RE ONLY HUMAN, WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES! Here's the thing though, the woman that took my phone order charged me $1.25 delivery charge, and $0.50 for the mustard and this place was less than a mile down the road and I was never informed of any of those charges either verbally or on the menu? I didn't care about that amount of the food was decenbut it wasn't! THIS was just soooo PETTY! I LIVE IN NYC which is quite expensive in general for everything but just to let everyone know that you can get this simple dish in NY for about eight or nine bucks for the same portion size and it will taste nothing like this places food. They are overpriced as it was almost double what it costs in NYC, CHISELING FRAUDS! I say this because when I called back about the missing soup the woman immediately acted as if she didn't know who I was, or that we spoke for 4 minutes on the phone? The delivery was going to a hotel right down the road? She flat out lied, told me I never ordered a small Egg Drop soup? She didn't CARE AT ALL ABOUT WHAT I WANTED! ALL SHE WANTED WAS TO TELL ME I NEVER TOLD HER ABOUT YHE SOUP AND I WAS WRONG AND ABOUT MONEY! COMMON SENSE WOULD HAVE TOLD HER IF I ASKED FOR FRESH MUSTARD I MUST HAVE ASKED FOR THE SOUP TOO, RIGHT? BTW, what restaurant charges for condiments anyway? Highly overpriced and they only care about money. Foreigners really don't get Americans or know how to build a clientele, very sad for the people who want to take a chance to hopefully find a new gem in the area and give the opportunity to someoneto build a business...
Read moreBest chicken wing combo platter in our area!
I have ordered from Hong Kong many times now and so far the food has been good and consistent. My family has said what they order is always good too. Personally I think they have some of the best chicken wings in our area. Their platter is more than generous with the serving and the chicken is always juicy and crispy. I loooove the hot sauce they give with it, it’s mildly spicy but more sweet and kinda hints of BBQ too its really yummy, highly recommend asking for more than 1 cause 1 container is never enough for me. The pork fried rice is really good on it’s own too. I always alternate between their Crab Rangoon (pictured) and their Pork Fried Dumplings, for an appetizer, both are really good. I appreciate that they also poke holes in the boxes on the to-go orders so your food stays nice and crispy! They are always generous with napkins & utensils as well.
As a heads up though this place is pick up or delivery only, they haven’t seemed to re open their dining room since the pandemic, but due to this they are very fast with their pick up orders always takes just 15 mins for me to go pick it up and they are reasonably priced in my opinion.
I will say the one day I ordered their noodle wonton soup instead of my normal order and I was pretty disappointed cause it was really lacking any flavor at all, it was very bland. I have tried a few other things on the menu as well and they were just okay. But their chicken wing platter reigns supreme for me and is consistently good so I would recommend...
