We've been going to Stefano's since shortly after they opened, a very long time. We still think that the pizza is good and about the best in this area but not really great compared to somewhere like Macaroni's on Old Bustleton. But the quality of the other things like the cheese steaks has been going down hill. They were really bad, real fatty and stringy a week ago. However, what has gotten this store a 1 star rating is the deceptive pricing tactics they use here. The first time I was charged a significantly higher price than that which was on the menu, I was told it was because they were the old prices and the new menus with the new prices haven't been printed yet. Now it's been well over a year that I was told that and they're still using and distributing these old menus. Now along with such pricing deception, today I used a credit card and was charged a separate convenience fee. The first thing is that I didn't see anything posted that said you would be charged a separate convenience fee for using a credit card. The second thing is that they are profiting from that fee. The max fee by a credit card, AMEX, is approximately 3.75%. Why was I charged 5%?? This practice is just wrong and I won't accept it or be forced to use cash, so goodbye Stefano's. We all supported you during the pandemic and now this is how you show your appreciation?? No thank you, I'll find somewhere else to go....
Read moreI wanted to celebrate a friends birthday at work. A Sicilian pie with everything on it! I purposely went the day earlier and ordered it, with specific instructions. We only have an half hour for lunch. It has to be delivered before then. He (owner) knew exactly where the business was at. He even asked what department to deliver it to. I gave him all the information. Then he said it will be there at 11:45 am. I waited for the delivery from 11:45 am until 12:30 pm. No delivery. No pizza. No celebration. It made me feel like a crumb, thank you very much! We didn't have any lunch that day, because I told everyone not to bring one. After work that day, I went to see this... ahem... owner. I walked in and said nothing, just threw my hands up as if to say, "WHAT HAPPENED?" He simply said... "I lost the ticket (order slip)" As I walked out (mind-you-now, I never said a word), I couldn't help but wonder... "How in the world can you forget about an order that is the most expensive on your menu!?" "How many of these $50 pizzas do you sell a week!?" "And! I came a day earlier, in person, to order it.... just so you knew it was 'on-the-level" The only answer I could think of... he's a *!&%#$@ idiot! NEVER! NEVER EVER WILL I GO THERE AGAIN! Since I can't post this without a 'rating' star, the one star rating is actually a...
Read moreThis guys head is really something else.. my cousin just tried ordering a pizza and when he asked to pay with his credit card the owner made the comment “always using your card.” And so my cousin, rightly annoyed by this said cancel the order, the owner tried backtracking and said o no its just the process of putting it in, but still we canceled. So i called back bc its unacceptable and asked if this happened and he said no and called my cousin a liar and said he said “it sounds like your underwater.” Now ive dealt with this guys “winning” attitude before. Once tried to order a cheesesteak and was told “nah i aint sending my guy out for one cheesesteak” so i just said that to him and he said “look im successful bc i have minimums on delivery”. So when i mentioned that u could have said it that way and not the way u did he responded “ive been succesful for 16 years doing it my way”… ive never done this for anything in life, but im hoping this guy reads this and realizes theres a way to talk to people and the way he does it now stinks. We ordered a lot from here too and were a great tip and sadly he...
