Taqwa’s Halal Grill & Deli — Restaurant in Bensalem Township

First off, I would like to say some good words about the gentleman at the cashiers desk. Very polite and pleasant and nice looking young man. Offered free extra sauces on the side for my order. Did not forget to include napkins and utensils. Kindly refused my tip but accepted after I strongly insisted.

I ordered 2 chicken and 2 lamb over rice over the phone. At pickup, when packing my food, this nice gentleman asked my honest opinion about the food because as he said they had just started a deli section in their mart. I said I would leave a review once I have tried.

So, brother, I am writing while eating chicken over the rice.

Large balanced portion for both meat and rice. Quality of the rice is excellent. I guess, it is basmati rice from its length. Chef’s kiss for the fresh salad and fries on the side. (P.s. fries need improvement a little bit). These two make a nice variety of the taste together with the food. I have tried the same food in NYC and Maryland couple of times, but yours is far the best! This is not an exaggeration. Absolutely loved it, especially, the green sauce. Hopefully, you guys will keep doing the good job!

My recommendation: please add the menu and more photos for other people to see.

First time ordering through this place from GrubHub and wow food was awesome. Combo over rice was delicious and I love that it comes with seasoned fries. The Samosa bites were just ok but they were nice and crispy. The hot sauce definitely has some heat to it but I would say not over bearing if you are someone who enjoys spice I found it to be the perfect level but if you have a hard time with heat you might want it on the side.

I saw the other review about the mice problem, truthfully we’re in Bucks County so everyone’s got a mice problem. At least they’re trying to take care of it. Sorry to break it to you but most restaurants unfortunately have a rodent or bug problem. Like I said I ordered from Grubhub so I never saw the inside but no complaints about the food and it was so good I would order from them again despite the potential issues. My husband Nashir & I were doing some grocery shopping & we started getting hungry. It was so long since we had Taqwa Grill. He called just to make sure it was open & it was! We were so happy bc their food is amazing!! He ordered the chicken over rice platter & lamb over rice platter & let me tell you, it beats all other rice platters you may have tried!! Taqwa Grill needs to have more shops or carts open! The amount of people coming & going for their food is a reminder of how good their food is!
