I've been to this TJ Maxx 3 times now and they are very uncooperative. Marshalls is the same company and you can do returns interchangeably. Every time I go to this specific location they tell me they cannot. First two times I had to make the cashier get a manager to come over and they begrudgingly returned it. The last time even the manager outright refused stating "the company changed their return policy and the computer won't even let us"..... an HOUR later I went to a Marshalls 10 mins down the road and they happily accepted the return and I asked the manager there if they indeed changed the inter-store return policy and she said "absolutely not!" I also asked another TJ Maxx the next day and asked the same question and that manager also confirmed they still take interstore returns, so it's literally just that location. It's probably tied to something like if they only take TJ Maxx returns and not "extra returns" it makes the store numbers look more successful and then the GM gets a better bonus at the end of the year. So don't go to this location, literally any other location will respect customer service...

My dad and I ironically made the same purchase of an 8 & 10in All-Clad Nonstick pan set; completely unintentional. Both of mine were priced the same at $29.99 each, which I thought was a bit odd given the size difference, but wasn't leaving the store without them since it was the only set and a rare find. I mentioned it to the woman I checked out with who also thought it was odd, but didn't offer to run a price check for me. So when I told my dad about the purchase, I was surprised to hear he had picked up the same set just the day before at another location about 10 miles away from the one I visited. Although his 8in pan was priced $5 less? Not going to make a big deal over $5, just seemed odd and unnecessary, along with some disappointment in the customer service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe store itself is great. What I do not like is every time I go in that store they try to have you get their credit card. They will always ask āare you paying with your TJ Maxx card today?ā And then when you say no, I donāt have one or no I donāt want one or no I had one and threw it out, they try to force you to get another one. Itās very annoying and I wish they would stop their employees from having to do that because I know that they are told to do that whenever they are checking someone out. So please, coming from a very long time shopper at TJ Maxx, please stop having your employees constantly ask customers to sign up for your card. Obviously if customers want to get your card, they would ask...
