If I could leave a negative star, I would. Ordered a WHIRLPOOL washer and dryer during the 4th of July sale and opened up a credit card with Home Depot for the 18 month 0% financing. The items were "not available" for a month, I knew this when I ordered. Set delivery for August 2nd; took off work for the delivery. Found out late in day on August 1st that the delivery is delayed 6 more weeks. Called Home Depot to see about a replacement for the amount of the value of the washer and dryer that I could get sooner OR any type of financial compensation for 6 more weeks of using the laundromat. Four different times being put on hold to get redirected to yet another customer service representative and another hour of my time I can't get back, only to find out that no, that a store of this magnitude does not have another washer and dryer to send and they offered $50 compensation only for another 6 weeks of delay. Lots of gaslighting "we are so sorry". Meanwhile already paid $200 towards the credit card, simply asked for that back, to cancel the card and the order. Can't get the $200 back without having to file a discrepancy as I don't want a store credit as I don't ever want to shop at Home Depot again. Bottom line, customer service is non-existent any longer. No ownership for inconveniences, delays or any attempt to restore faith in putting faith in a company that claims they care about their customers; clearly they do not. Home Depot has a wide appliance section and almost synonymous when you think of buying appliances. DO NOT. I am mad at myself for choosing Home Depot as Lowes and other stores all had 4th of July promotion so in choosing Home Depot, I am a month without a washer and dryer, lost a day of work/PTO, out money from the past month of using a laundromat and time because time is super valuable to most if not all of us and may potentially wind up with a $200 store credit And that is not Home Depot giving me that credit.I paid that $200 towards the purchase already and I just want the money back but may have to wind up with a credit to a store I never want to set foot in again. I forgot the added caviat that school starts in 2 1/2 weeks which with teenage boys incorporates school and sports uniforms, practice clothes, hoodies pajamas bedding, towels... Dayno. Sooner put one thing on and take another thing off.
I never, ever leave negative reviews, this is my first if that establishes confidence in anyone reading this to avoid Home Depot for your own sanity. Million dollar corporation who deemed my worth, my value and my time at nothing more than $50 A company that sells multiple different brands of various appliances and they couldn't even send one replacement washer machine or dryer.
UPDATE...order cancelled never received a thing YET going to take 30 to 60 days for the account to get credited. Please do not trust Home Depot for appliance orders or expect human decency when they make a mistake to own...
Read moreWhen my fiancé and I ordered and PAID thousands of dollars for a new front door on October 7th, we were told it would take about 6 to 10 weeks to get. It’s now been 6 months and we still have no front door. The Bensalem location that we purchased from made no attempt to contact us with updates throughout this time and the only communication we’ve had was when we called them. My first phone call was back in early January after not hearing a thing throughout November or December and I was told the door would be received at their store and installed by mid-February (later than expected but we understood). They ensured me that I would get a phone call with a more definite timeline as it got closer to the date. On January 29, my fiancé called back for an update and was told the door had actually been received that day and we would hear from a contractor to schedule installation within the next few days. After 2 weeks went by with no word from a contractor, I called the store back to see what was going on. This time I spoke with the supervisor, Heather, and was told the sales rep we previously spoke with was “confused” and they hadn’t actually received the door. In fact, it wasn’t scheduled to be delivered until mid-March. She then informed me that the previous supervisor had left and the “door department was not carefully looked over” for a few weeks, which was why nobody caught the delay with our order. Not something you should say to an already frustrated customer. At this point, we got corporate involved who connected us with the store manager, Alex. He ensured us that he would personally oversee our order and that the door would be delivered to them on the 14th - either way he would call with an update on that day. We received no phone call on the 14th as promised so I called and was told Alex wasn’t available but the door had been delivered on the 10th. They just needed to contact the installer to schedule a date. Four days the door sat there with no attempt to move forward on installation. If I hadnt called, it probably would have been longer. Again, the lack of communication (even with the store manager overseeing our order) was extremely frustrating. The contractor called the next day and scheduled an installation for today, April 1st between 8:30-11 am. We worked our schedule around this and made sure we were both home - only to get a phone call at 8 this morning from the contractor saying he “hurt his back” and isn’t able to make it out but will “try to get it done next week”. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! We called the store and were told there was nothing they could do. 6 months and thousands of dollars wasted. We’re in the middle of completely renovating our home and have spent tens of thousands of dollars at their store over the last year. For them to treat loyal customers this was is absolutely ridiculous. We will no longer be purchasing anything...
Read moreRecently they had some really good deals that I couldn't pass up I got the Ryobi multi-purpose tool and a battery set worth over $200 total was $99 plus tax because of the sale. And I was Ble to pick it up within an hour, And I'm all about getting discounts so that was really cool keep your eyes out for stuff you want It might randomly pop up on sale and then that price point isn't as bad. And it's home Depot they got everything I found a tape measure the match my vape. I found a lock fingerprint and buttons and key at the same price as Amazon and I didn't have to wait for Amazon and I got to touch it so I knew what it felt like. Plus home Depot got that app where you literally type in what you're looking for It tells you what day and what Arlington this particular store for me has been good with that if it's not on that spot and I ask somebody they'll get back to me like not just walk away and act like they're helping you like the one in Jersey I don't know exactly what store I needed 3-in PVC and on the app it said they had a decent amount on the shelves there is not so I asked if there was a pallet in the back waited around for a little bit and then just went in the back and found it low and behold when I'm going to my van she's out there pushing cards like she didn't even do anything but that has nothing to do with this home Depot just certain older employees at home Depot but that gets made up for about some of these other ones who might change the way you do stuff because of some suggestions. At this store whoever works in electric is the best. Hell not only find what your looking for in a second. He knows about the stuff And getting an outsiders knowledge could be a little bit of a different angle that now saves you 5min on every outlet you install for example. Which adds up. Wow this is long. Hope you have a great day and the next scratch off tickets you buy that's an even number on the bottom corner is going to be a winning...
