After driving by Bad Bob's BBQ dozens of times, my husband and I decided to stop and have lunch! Long story short, if we lived there full-time we'd be regulars!
In June, we visited with our cousins who were in town from Oklahoma and Virginia, they loved the food, too!
We were in for lunch a couple of days ago and once again, we were very pleased with everything. I'm a big fan of the smoked, pulled chicken! That's been my go-to every visit. My husband loves the smoked ham and mushrooms.
After realizing I hadn't tried it, I ordered a pulled pork slider. I hesitate saying this, but I was a bit disappointed. I didn't get any "smoke" taste from the pulled pork. I do notice the smoky flavor with the chicken. I let my husband try it and he agreed.
The sweet tea is SO good and the ladies are always kind enough to give me a big cup to go! We ordered dessert this time and were very pleased with taste and the large portion sizes. My pig poop (!) was enjoyed over the course of three days. My husband ate his banana pudding in one sitting!!
We have a house on the lake so we're in the area often!...
Read moreMy wife and I were in Murray, kentucky, for the day, and we thought we'd do some barbecue, being in Kentucky. We got online and found Bad Bob's BBQ. It's a small old restaurant, the food was good. I did not taste a lot of smoky flavor in the pulled pork. My wife and I both ordered pulled pork sandwiches, she ordered the Lil Hawg, and I ordered the Big Hawg. I ordered baked beans with mine, and of course, they're not baked beans. They were like most other barbecue restaurants, just beans out of a can. I spruced them up with some barbecue sauce and put a little meat in them, but my wife's curly fries were good, and the sandwiches were good. The pulled pork was moist and tender. My sandwich was pretty big. It filled me up. The service was good, very friendly and we enjoyed our time there. If this review is helpful, please give me a heart or clapping...
Read moreI ordered 2 Brisket Sandwiches with a side of Corn, Fried Okra, and Vinegar slaw. Quality is a 4.5 star. Everything was/is DELICIOUS. However the price per quantity is poor. First, the sandwiches, GREAT VALUE. Huge sandwich for a decent price (4 stars). Second, the sides, TERRIBLE VALUE. $3-$4 per side and the quantity is poor (1 star). The corn was just a half cob, the slaw was acceptable (3 star), and the Okra was the worst, 6 or 7 pieces for $4 (0 stars). The food quality and flavor is great; the corn was well seasoned, the okra wasn't greasy but crisp, and the slaw was very tasty. The brisket is awesome. Meal deals or a rework of sides portions (not necessarily the price) are a definite need here. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, but after $20, my wife and are...
