Pasta J — Restaurant in Benton

Earlier this evening: Called at 5:19 to place my order and was told it would be 25 minutes before the order was done. Walked through the door, within 20 minutes, paid and was told it would be another 15 minutes. Left and came back, plus waited another 15 minutes...still no food. By this point, Emily was at the drive through asking what the problem was. I explained to her I was told 25 minute wait, we’re approaching 50+ minutes and still no food. She proceed to tell me “you have to understand we have new cooks and are short staffed” so I kindly explained that when you’re speaking with a customer, you never start off with “you have to understand” but perhaps apologize for the inconvenience and go from there. Another 5 minutes pass and I’m politely waiting on someone to come back to the window so I can request a refund. I was told that one order and bread was ready but the other order was not (only ordered mozzarella bread and 2 chicken Alfredo add shrimp with extra Alfredo sauce). Also note, I drove from Sherwood to Benton for this pasta. Emily finally hands me the food and upon checking my order was wrong. It contained no shrimp or extra sauce. So as I tell Emily the order is wrong, I’m not going to waste any more time waiting, and I want a refund. She walked away and yelled “I’m trying to be nice to her”. So I requested a manager, who happened to be the line cook who was off but said she stopped to check on the new cooks, saw they were behind, and jumped on to help. I was then given the refund plus allowed to keep the incorrect order. Although the manager tried to retain me as a customer, I will not be returning due to Emily’s horrible...

This is my favorite restaurant in saline county. I’m obsessed with the house salad. It’s an Italian vinaigrette that tastes garlicky and Parmesan-y. Not sweet ( thank goodness). I’m also a huge fan of the garlic chicken (Ask for a side of Alfredo with it if you order it). Sometimes I get it with penne and other times I like it with linguini. The Italian nachos were surprisingly delicious. This is my Go-to spot for catering. Every lunch meeting I host, I bring Pasta J’s. Locally, the set it up for me which was really nice. Some of the out of town meetings have clients who are super impressed with their meal and are so curious about where the food comes from. I like that they have a drive through window Bc I get lazy but need a “fix” and this place is so much better than fast food. When I go in for lunch, Lindsay is usually my waitress. Shes the best!!!! She’s so friendly and personable. Linday knows my preferences without asking which makes me feel super special and like family. Leanne, the manager, also comes out and talks to me and makes sure everything is good and up to thier high standards. If there’s ever any problem ( very rare) they will take care of it quickly and make sure you’re happy. Pasta Js is locally owned and run by good friendly people. They are dedicated to thier customers and have awesome food. I went ahead and added thier number in my contact list Bc I order so often. Go...

I used to enjoy this place, but their service has tarnished the establishment. Waiting at a drive through window for 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged me was just the start. Mind you, this was after being told that the order would be ready in 20 minutes and I gave them 30 minutes. When I arrived home, I was astonished to find they got my order incorrect. I was told it would be ready in 20, and after 45 minutes, they still couldn't get it right. I called them back and was then placed on hold. After waiting some more on them, I was told that I had ordered what I wanted incorrectly. So, apparently I didn't know what I wanted to eat. They did. I was instructed to bring it back and they would fix it, which I did. As I waited for my "new" order in their lobby, I talked with another customer about how they received the wrong order also. Apparently this is common thing for this restaurant now. After an hour and a half in total, I finally got my food that I ordered. Honestly, I would have rather been refunded my money and walked away from the whole experience. If you absolutely need Italian food, do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to dine, even if it's out of the way. This place is a joke now.

Update: Years later and it still is very meh. Go to Cafe Verona! It's about two minutes down the road. Best Italian...
