Tried to use a Coupon here last evening. It was a buy one, get one free type. I was told I could not use the coupon for I did not want ketchup on my burger. What happened to 'Build it your way". I said OK, I want two Whooper Kings, with no ketchup and two large fries. I was quoted a price of $19.09. That is higher than the standard prices. I was angered, so I said, fine, and drove up to the first window and paid. Going to the second window after a short delay, my package arrived. Before accepting it I asked if the Burgers had ketchup on them. The attendant paused turned and asked someone behind her and then replied, YES. I explained I had asked for NO KETCHUP. The bag was handed off to someone else with a brief conversation. Then I was told to pull around to the parking lot and wait.
That is a difficult thing to do at this restaurant due to its location at a heavily traveled three way intersection for one has to pull across two lanes of incoming traffic, make a sharp right turn and then turn back across two lanes of on coming traffic. Many accidents happen at this intersection. All of this as result of their inability to provide two high priced burgers without ketchup.
I did manage to make all of the turn (after almost being T-boned by a car traveling too fast in the dark), and pulled into the parking lot, indeed, right in front of the main entrance door. In a minute or two my order was delivered in a very crunched bag.
On arriving at home we found the quality of the food was less than it had once been. The burger bun was 'light', there was a very thin slice of small tomato, a few sprinkles of lettuce, and meat patties which were undercooked and lacked that traditional 'flame broiled' flavor. The fries were also uncooked by about 15 seconds for they were 'limp' and lacked salt. (However, B.K. fries have been under done for quite some time. They really need to review their cooking methods.)
I have been B./K.ing for over fifty years, last night was the last time for that location. I will drive the extra two miles to another B.K. if I want a Burger...
Read moreWhen I pulled up to the drive-thru, I was greeted and then told, “Give me a second.” I wasn’t in a rush, so I waited patiently. A moment later, I heard her say, “Continue with your order,” so I began ordering — but she quickly cut me off, saying in a rude tone, “I told you to give me a second.”
She repeated this twice, and each time it seemed she forgot to mute her microphone while taking someone’s inside order. When she finally told me to continue, I gave my order. She then told me the total but didn’t specify which window to go to.
At the first window, no one was there, so after waiting a bit, I pulled ahead to the second window. She immediately started raising her voice, saying, “You’re not supposed to come to this window — you’re supposed to go to the first one,” again with a rude attitude. I apologized and explained that no one was at the first window and that I hadn’t been told where to stop.
She then said, “When I tell you to give me a second, give me a second. I’m the only one here!” I wasn’t trying to be rude at all — I truly thought she was speaking to me each time because her mic wasn’t muted. By this point, she was visibly upset and raising her voice, so I decided to leave and told her to have a good day. She yelled, “Then leave!” and slammed the...
Read moreI went through the drive through 12/30/22. I ordered a cheeseburger and onion rings. When I pulled up to the second window to pickup my food the woman behind the window was eating a doughnut. She then proceeds to leave her half eaten doughnut on the counter by the window, licks her fingers then wipes them on her jeans right under her back pockets as she’s walking to the table where the burgers are placed in sacks. She then (without washing her hands or putting on gloves) takes the receipt from the machine, tapes it on the bag, opens the bag and grabs my burger and places it inside. She then carried the sack back to the counter by the drive through window and sets it down next to the half eaten doughnut, grabs the onion rings, places them in the bag then opens the window and hands everything to me. I didn’t even say anything because I honestly didn’t want anything else that was handled from inside and I hate confrontation, but that was disgusting!! No food safety standards at all. Would definitely not recommend eating at this...
