Airship Coffee at The Ledger — Restaurant in Bentonville

The barista that helped us was excellent. 5 stars. The coffee is always 5 stars at Airship. The $1.50 charge for a to go cup. 1 star. If the reasoning wasn't sustainability, I'd accept it as a 4 star. But that's the explanation, it's to encourage sustainability. So, ok, I want to be sustainable. I'll take a plant based milk alternative to cow's milk since we know cows produce methane thus leading to climate change. Oh, that's a $1 up charge to be sustainable. Yeah, so 1 star for the milk up charge, and only because for a sustainable business to encourage unsustainable cow's milk as the cheapest option is counterintuitive. 1 star. Let's be honest, reusable mugs/glasses save Airship money, as does using cow's milk vs plant based milk. The up charges are about profit, not sustainability, as if they were, the plant-based milks would be a discount and the disposable cups would be an up charge. Yet another business that refuses cash, legal tender. Why trust a business model that doesn't accept the foundation of our economic system. On top of that, the only parking is all the way by the public library. So after you get pissed off that there's no parking, at all, close by. You walk all the way over just to walk back empty handed.

The only reason this is two stars is because the tall gentleman at the counter was very polite, professional, and empathetic.

Airship, get a damn cash till in your locations. Be a business. That building you're in has plenty of security and you have insurance. Stop being afraid to keep...

My husband and I decided to try airship for the first time today and I felt compelled to leave a review because the service we received was terrible. The barista was rude to us from the jump. He didn't greet us and seemed annoyed we were even there, despite there being no other patrons present. Our drinks tasted awful and there were no straws available. The atmosphere was the only part of our visit we enjoyed and i doubt we will be back to try airship after this experience (at least this location) which is surprising given the reviews.
