I am currently up in bentonville for work, but I live in Fayetteville so I am not up here very often. I brought my lunch today, so I could save money and the last thing on my mind was a crêpe. I was getting ready to take my lunch and a coworker was telling me about a crêpe place she really enjoyed that was right down the street called Crêpes Paulette. This wasn’t the first time she had mentioned it, and she was really urging me to try it. I asked her about the price, and she said they are usually around $8-$10. In my head I was thinking, there’s literally no way I am going to get a crêpe, I brought my lunch, I’ve never had one before, and they are really expensive. God had other plans. For whatever reason, God was calling me to go buy a crêpe on my lunch break, and I was really confused as to why, but l chose to be obedient and I walked over to this crêpe place, still trying to figure out why God was calling me over there. As I walked into the shop, the lady behind the counter had her head bowed and eyes closed. As I approached, she lifted her head and made eye contact with me and we both smiled at each other. She greeted me and looked down at my chest and her eyes got huge and smile got bigger! Then she said this to me:
“I was literally just praying for God to send me a sign today. I prayed for God to hide away in my heart, and that I would feel his presence and then you walked in and I saw your cross necklace and smile and I knew immediately that God was faithful and answered my prayer”
This conversation then led onto a Gospel conversation where I got to share in gratitude how faithful God has been in my life, answering a TON of my prayers as of late. And I then knew why God led me to this crêpe shop. Sometimes, for whatever reason it’s easy to doubt Gods judgement, but let me tell you something my friend God is Sovereign, and his timing is perfect, and he’s faithful, AND HE HAS A PLAN! As I am typing this I’m thinking of all the different things that could have happened to not lead me to meet this lady, and it’s nothing short then Gods great design. (Not to mention my crêpe tasted spectacular as well😋) I doubted even going because of how expensive it was, but let me tell you this conversation was worth more than every single penny I would have saved! Things of this earth will not be taken to heaven so remember to seek first the kingdom!!
So Mrs.Cheryl if you’re reading this, you are AMAZING and I really enjoyed meeting you! God loves you and has a plan and purpose in your life, and I believe he put you in my path today to uplift my spirit. THANK YOU.
Crêpe Paulette if you are reading this, you have a spectacular employee who fears God, and your Crêpes are to DIE for! 5 stars across the board👏⭐️
And For everyone who is reading this now, remember that God loves you, and his plan for you is above your understanding, but lean into him, put your faith and trust in him, and he will take care of you! “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7 Whenever things get tough or you feel like you don’t know what to do, remember this verse. Pray about it, give it to him and God will...
Read moreOn a whim, my sister decided to take my niece and I to Crepes Paulette. This was our first visit.
I've had crepes before but not served in a folded manner wrapped in paper and foil for one handed operation. Pick it up and go with it. This is how I like my food. It's practical and down to earth. I didn't expect that.
The crepe I chose was the la Quebec which was stuffed with Black Forest Ham and egg. Its under the savory and sweet section of the menu and it was that indeed. The best bite, was the last probably due to the syrup collecting at the bottom of the crepe. But seriously, this was one of the best breakfast items I've had on this trip. If I could, I would have this again! :-)
The owner is very kind and approachable. The staff is very thoughtful as we stopped in before my sister had to go to work but she took an extended phone call and couldn't eat her food. The person behind the counter recognized the situation before I ever thought of anything and brought a bag and foil to our table so she could take it to go. Impressive.
If I lived here in Bentonville, I would definitely make this a regular stop. I think Crepes Paulette has something interesting here as they have other crepes they make with different flavors. For instance, I noticed one that was Hawaiian and two that were Thai for vegan or chicken. Those may not be for everyone but they have a variety of crepe fillings. If I go back again on this trip, I want to try some of those and try to remember to...
Read moreVisit #1 So... I've seen a lot of reviews and a lot of people loves this place. I decided to go and unfortunately wasn't as blown away as I expected by other reviews.
Truth is we walked in and the seating was immediately noticed. Very limited space and much of it was a high top bar. Though not a problem for me I could see as an issue for shorter folks like my wife for example. Due to the minimal "standard" seating at a table or a booth like most places she sat at the bar style high top with her feet dangling as if she was a 4yr old..
When we ordered the French toast, turkey club and two fountain drinks I was surprised it was approx 35 bucks.. little steep in my opinion. We took our number and grabbed a seat. Took about 10min for our drinks to be brought to us and then the reason for 3 stars.. we waited nearly 35min more for two crepes.. at this point our drinks were empty 😕 and food just arriving. To be honest I was furious to have paid the price we did for such a basic dish and to take that long.
To set the stage as well, the place was packed however most had their food already and were eating. We were only the third person in the "unserved" group so I couldn't fathom why it was a 35 to 40min total wait..
Price was little high Food was good Service Friendliness Good Wait Time.... ✋️ Fail.
I will give the place another shot and hope for better times. If not then I won't be able to justify the 12 to 13bucks per...
