I always wondered why there were so many people at this place. Now I know. What a great place to go for burgers and beer. The best burgers I’ve had were at the Bangkok Hilton on Wireless Road (now gone) and at Freshness Burger in Tokyo (especially with avocado). Now I’m adding Headlands Brewing to the list. I think it’s a mixture of some secret thing they do to the patties…seasoning? Charbroiled? And the buns are so soft and yummy. And the sauce must be some secret Mayo based recipe. Be sure to get the smash burgers deluxe if you like lots of lettuce & tomatoes in your burger. In and Out and Mel’s … sorry, no match. I've come several times in the last couple weeks and I'm not impressed. Food is much too expensive for the OK quality. Beer is sold at airport prices. There's no protection from the wind and the entire patio is covered in shade on these nice summer days. I got a hostile response when I asked to lower an umbrella so I could sit in the sun. I also made an inquiry about an ingredient and when I got the food what they had told me was wrong. And why am I eating a $17 salad with a tiny plastic fork? A very basic kale salad btw, and not even a large one. All that plus the hours are awful.

The woman at the counter is reliably friendly and their one proper West Coast IPA...

A lively, dog-friendly spot with a great vibe, even in a less upscale neighborhood. Perfect for a casual hangout with friends.

Highlights:

Lemon Shandy – Light, refreshing, and perfect for a summer afternoon.

Black Bean Burger – Crispy with decent flavor.

Sweet The Creamery Pop-Up – High-quality homemade ice cream. I had the "Fresas con Crema," which would have been even better with chilled strawberries instead of warm ones.

I just wish they had more vegetarian options with creative sides.
