That was the worst banh mi restaurant ever. I don't know how they've gotten 4 stars. The banh mi I ordered had barely anything in it. There were 1.5 slices of meat, tiny amount of carrots and filling. Now that I look at the pictures on this review. That's not what I got. That was a waste of money when there are tons of other great restaurants around. I've been to Vietnam and ate many banh mi and this place is a poor excuse of a restaurant. It's probably a front shop. The woman who worked there and made my banh mi was extremely rude. I didn't get any napkins when I asked her she got upset and with attitude laid the napkins on the counter. I've had other banh mi, that were more affordable, delicious and had way way more meat and fillings. May they go out of business soon. And may that woman who works there drops the attitude towards the customers who ask for banh mi and napkins. This place is a waste of time, money and experience there are way more better foodie...
Read moreVery rude and nasty attitude from one of their workers here. I see now from other reviews it might be the owner who’s just rude and nasty.
I had paid for extra meat on their bacon banh mi and saw them only placing one and I asked and they gave me a rude reply that there was already extra. Mind you I experienced this a previous time and asked, didn’t curse, wasn’t rude, I said this happened last time too there wasn’t extra meat and the person snapped at me and called me cheap.
Only one single piece of bacon was there when I came back home and checked. They are rude and stingy with their portions, doesn’t even taste like authentic Vietnamese food.
Come here if you are desperate for rude and entitled service, lackluster flavor and miserable portions (even after...
Read moreIn brief, Nom Nom makes a thoroughly average banh mi. Though the bread is nicely fresh, the veggies are too sour and do not speak to the naturally fresh flavor found in cheaper Vietnamese sandwich shops throughout the Bay Area. I was initially excited by the copies of Nom Nom’s history and mission statement spread throughout the restaurant, but found the food did not match these lofty goals. Do NOT get the Vietnamese coffee. Though I normally love the robust flavor of Vietnamese coffee, the cup that I received was both small and...
