I work at one of the local shops across the street and I had been sent out of town for a few weeks to train at another store location the last time I visited this store was about 5 weeks ago , I ready the me menu outside before entering Palm and I didn’t see where is said it was a bowl or drink, I just assumed because it had Pitaya that it was the drink i had a while back , I left came back to the store to see that it was a bowl. When a I told two employees what mistake I made they look liked they didn’t want to help me with the situation I just put myself in . 🤦🏽♀️ One girl reluctantly went to go get her manager , her manager tried to make me feel bad about them having to throw the bowl away and then proceed to put a lid on the bowl and say something to her coworker and laugh , she agreed to have the drink made for me and before I could apologize and explain my confusion she abruptly walked away from me with an attitude. And all the other girls were just looking at me like I was dumb. And when my drink was called out the girl would made look away from me and just called out the drink, I then said thank you and she didn’t even say anything back she just walked away. and no one was conceded about giving me my $2 dollars back. I had to ask for the price difference . And I paid with card but when I ask for the money back I was swiftly just given $2 out of the register like they wanted me to get the heck out of the store. Sand as other non black customers were coming into the store they were very attentive and polite to them while treating me like I was a complete nuisance . I was already feeling back about what I did in the 1st place . They weren’t trying to here my apologies, they tried to make me feel even worse. And on top of that not very welcoming to begin with! I will never recommend this place to...
Read moreFinally!!! After searching for years, I finally found a delicious smoothie bowl! They surpassed my expectations.
I got the dragon smoothie bowl regular size. It was filled to the brim with fruit. It had kiwi (a little sour), mango, and strawberries. It also had a healthy portion of granola. I wish that they added more honey bc I couldn’t really taste the honey. My partner got the Palma smoothie bowl regular size and he was also happy with his bowl! It came with bananas, dried goji berries, and strawberries. I highly recommend this restaurant!!
I wish I could come here everyday, but unfortunately I’m from Texas and I’m only visiting. If I ever come to the Bay Area again, I’ll be sure to stop by again bc it’s worth it. Another “”complaint”” (not really a complaint just something to point out) is that they didn’t seem to have AC but that seems to be a common thing in California.
They did have very limited seating! There were 8 seats throughout...
Read moreThe acai bowls here seem to be the best option for East Bay currently. The large size is actually big and definitely enough food to have the bowl as a meal. I love places that offer huge options, because sometimes I just want to eat a ton of fruit. The matcha chia bowl is great, I hadn't seen matcha bowls before. Service is actually great and everyone has been friendly. I only give 4 for atmosphere because it's all teenagers and you'll stick out a lot if you're not similar. I don't think they hire anyone who isn't in a certain group, so it's that type of vibe here. Let me emphasize though that the...
