Pizza Twist — Restaurant in Berkeley

So delicious to have Indian flavors fused with pizza...it taste great! Not overpowering at all and a nice variation from regular pizza. But they also have traditional pizza and toppings, with many customizable choices to build your own.

The chicken Tikka Masada pizza was a crowd favorite for our meat eaters The Anchari Paneer pizza with jalapeños was a nice spicy hot treat for vegetarians in our party. We were even able to accommodate our gluten-free vegan guests with their cauliflower crust and plant-based cheese (you have to phone them to request the GF crust). The kids preferred traditional pepperoni pizza. So nice to be able to accommodate everyone's tastes and dietary restrictions.

We ordered several pizzas for our party at a park and the owner, Nate, delivered it himself, right on time, nice and hot, with plenty of forks, napkins, plates, etc. that it made feeding a big group so easy and convenient.

We're so happy to find this locally owned business with friendly people, for our future parties or whenever we want a break from...

Ordered 5 large pizzas for a party we were having. Had to wait an extra 30 minutes on top of the pickup time given. While annoying, I get it - things happen that cause delays. But it didn't fill me with much confidence that while I was waiting employees (or family/friends? it didn't look like they were employees) were just casually walking in and out of the back with zero sense of urgency or effort.

While that was annoying it was mostly disappointing to take the pizzas home and realize that the pizzas were much smaller than the size of the box. We measured them and they ended up only being 12" in width, not the full 14". Not sure if they were just rushed and did a bad job hand tossing them to the right size or if the wrong size pan was used.

All that said, the pizzas themselves tasted pretty good and the coupon price we paid would have been good assuming the pizzas were actually...

I stopped in on my bike ride commute home and was greeted by a kind homeless man watching TV -- just like Bob's donuts in the good ole days. I rang the bell and Nate came from the back to take my order. I asked him what a pizza twist was and he said it was Indian style pizza. I asked for recommendations and he gave me several delicious sounding ones, of which I chose the butter chicken. While I was waiting he gave me a slice of curry pizza from the back and I knew I was in for a treat. When he brought the finished pizza out, he made sure to show me what it looked like before I hopped on my bike and made a mess... And it did look beautiful.
