If I could rate it zero stars I would. I’ve given this place a chance a few times. Each time was worse than the last. My fiancé and I gave imperial one last try Friday and it was the worst it’s ever been. We walk in and aren’t greeted and stand there for a few minutes while a host is no where to be found. Once we were seated we were asked what we wanted to drink. I asked for a water, and an apple juice for my son while my fiancé asked for a Pepsi. I sat with my son while my fiancé got both of their plates before I went to get mine. The waiter came back and said that he doesn’t think they have apple juice and before I can reply he’s already gone. He finally brings the drinks except mine isn’t water it’s a sprite. I don’t mind sprite so I just decided I would drink it. I took a sip of the sprite I was given and it tasted like it was from a moldy dispenser. The food I got was okay but a lot of it looked like it had been sitting for hours. My fiancé did not like any of the food. He said that it was bland and dry and he’s not really a picky person at all. Back to the service, our waiter and another worker were on their phones just watching videos instead of taking care of other things. It was very frustrating when there are a million things that could be done other than being on their phones during working hours. The lack of care for customers was beyond me. The restaurant did not seem well maintained at all. The place felt dirty. The desert was disgusting. I got a cookie to split with my son and it was a literal hockey puck. My 2-year-old son got the chicken nuggets and fries. He barely ate any of it. We got our check and were charged for a 2-year-old to barely eat. $7.99 for 5 years and under. (Most buffets are free for 3 and understand) The price we paid for what was served was ultimately not worth it. I do not recommend this place at all. Please, find a better buffet. I do however recommend Pacific Buffet and Grill in Wallingford. The service is great and the food is delicious! Definitely the best Chinese buffet around. In my opinion. Kids 3 years and...
Read moreI don’t know what all the bad reviews are about..especially when looking at some of them when 3 of them are from way out of state and the only review for a CT place, is here…so being a foody, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, plus I had things to do in Berlin..so figured to go check this place out firsthand. Food…lots of chicken and then some other stuff. The Korean Chicken was delicious..the Italian chicken was a bit on the dry side..but it wasn’t so dry that it couldn’t be eaten. The pepper steak however…was cold. The rice was on the dry side..and the lo mein..that’s where the star disappeared..wasn’t edible. I mentioned it to the girl, she brought out the cook and manager and it was because the burner or warmer underneath wasn’t on. Simple mistake..it happens. There were no signs of food being in plastic as others have mentioned..there were no signs of food being recooked as you see in other restaurants. Parking…it’s in the corner of a strip mall, so there was plenty of parking. Busy? I went around 12:30 and there were prolly around 15-20 other people in the buffet; families, and casual diners. I don’t go out dinner…just because by that time, I’ve already ate at 4 places and generally stuffed. Price…this was the one that got me. People talking about how they charge and watch you eat. Lunch was 13.99 (as advertised on the door) and soda was 3.00 with free refills. They don’t give you the mug (think the size of a 28 oz soda)..instead it comes in a smaller cup (think the size of a 12 oz cup) so for lunch, after tip..it came to $21. For buffets, that’s about the normal. Would I go back again? IF I’m back out that way in Berlin again…sure, I’d make it a return visit. Overall on the 5* system, I’d give them a 3.9. They don’t hover around you as others have suggested, but they are attentive, meaning..if you need something, they’ll get it to you quick. They don’t rush you out as others have said..but again, I can’t speak on dinner service because I...
Read moreFood on the buffet was cold and horrific completely inedible it was outrageously priced the only saving grace was the somewhat acceptable sushi but the man preparing it was rude and didn't want to be there and didn't want you to watch him prepare the food sent you back to your table told to come back 10 minute at a buffet??? The wait staff stood 5ft from your table and stared with every bite it was so uncomfortable then several waitresses said we closing hurry hurry I offered to take my sushi and go they proceed to scream and say no no no you pay now and go after I payed the outrageous bill for just a few bites of sushi the waitress stood in my face and asked my where my tip everything ok right repeatedly I am still baffled at what I experienced tonight please I beg of you to understand I am 5'4" 125 I don't eat a lot at all so I'm not here upset because I wasn't able to eat my weight at the all you can eat buffet that's just not the case I enjoy a moderate amount of good healthy food prepared with loved and served with care and respect and if in a public setting a certain level of professionalism is required the product and service must fit the bill and I never in my life had anyone demand a tip before no mam everything is not ok and the tip reflects my experience and I especially don't appreciate the walking away angry speaking your native language because you don't want me to know what you're saying because you're dissatisfied with your tip lol be dissatisfied with your employer with your coworkers with the product your business puts out your personal service mam not me a very dissatisfied customer whose best friend is a yelp elite that's gonna be sure to send in for a review and she doesn't eat sushi so be sure to log on for that review she isn't as...
