Live Free Foodstore is one of the best places in the North Woods you can find to get a weekly rotated menu of extremely fresh & locally sourced ambrosia for breakfast, lunch, and sweets.

At breakfast time, it's hard to beat their homemade English muffin egg and bacon sandwich with garlicky, sauted spinach. The Monte Cristo is tempting me, though...
For lunch, the reuben and smash burger are my favorites so far. The fresh baked (in-house) bread and the balance of flavors and colors make these sandwiches stand out on another level.
The bakery sweets must be visited in person -- as they don't list them currently on the website -- which is just genius because you have to go in and see the smorgasbord of delicacies yourself. I dare you to try and resist them!
A few things to be mindful of when you visit:
Most items are in limited batches for the day, so if you see something you want to try, get there quick! While there is no indoor seating, they do have a few picnic tables outside to enjoy the food and weather. Parking can get tight around noon, just be prepared to use the on street parking. Homemade English muffins buttered into bliss with the most perfect ham and eggs, grilled to perfection! Truly, a superior egg delivery system!! ..and of course, good service!
