Bad food, worse service -XL sausage pizza and chef salad

I first walked in and see a employee on his phone, looked up, then back to his phone and we were never greeted. No problem!

Ordered and first pizza came up quickly, though staff forgot to bring plates and cheese sauce. Chef salad looked average, but fast and appropriate. No problem!

Now the Pizza. It had about 50%of it with the sauce visible and no cheese in these areas. I asked for the pizza to be re-made. Server asked another employee to come out, and who agreed to remake the pizza. However she was visibly irritated that I asked. This was apparent when she said it was no problem, rudely and abruptly snatched the pizza off of the table to remake it. Silverware flying sideways when she did so. BIG problem!

The next pizza came back with more cheese, but still about 75% cheese coverage and burnt crusts. I voiced my displeasure and told, "There is only so much, I can do". Up to this point, the only that was done was deliver two poorly topped pizzas and an attitude.

After all that I told her again a second time about both pizzas on check out that the second pizza was not good and was told I needed to order extra cheese next time.

After all that, She even asked after never acknowledging the pizza was weak and her attitude worse, "Was everything OK for you?". I asked if she really wanted to know. 😆 She said "I'm supposed to ask", clearly not understanding the point in asking the question.

$30 one topping, 1/2 covered cheese , extra attitude and light on the service.. Decent atmosphere if you want place to experience bad service and bad food.

Pizza King makes a unique pie that's almost always great. The bread sticks with cheese are a great side, but there's a definite difference between ordering them during the day vs the evening and there shouldn't be.

Knocked off two stars because the sit down service is terrible. I've eaten inside probably 20 times and I've never had a good experience. (That I keep coming despite the service should tell you something about the pizza- it really is delish.) Typically, the waiter or waitress is doing a second job in the kitchen, so they're not able to put their full focus into serving the tables. It isn't their fault; I assume they're just not scheduling separate waitstaff, which sucks for everyone involved. So the person waiting on your table might not check on you at all, or might be in an obvious hurry (enough that you feel bad asking for things). Had a few that were a little rude, but I let it slide since they were obviously having a hard time trying to do two jobs at once. A fountain pop machine in the dining room might alleviate some of that issue if they're not planning on changing the way they staff shifts.

But anyways, pizza is good!...

We always have a positive experience any time we order from the pizza king here in berne- but wanted to get on here to give the woman (I believe she is a manager but I’m not certain) who has walked our food out for me ANY time I am by myself and have my one year old son with me. Every time it’s just been him and I in there, without hesitating she walks out of the kitchen with our food and walks with us to our vehicle and sits the food on the seat for me. Huge shout out to you if you’re reading this!! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had people at other places just watch me struggle as I’ve got him on one arm and my food in the other trying to juggle the door, the truck doors, etc all with a very busy and wiggly boy. Her kindness is always so appreciated truly, and how wonderful she is with my son as well as the rest of the staff. They all are super smiley and kind to him and to us. Great job...
