The food was pretty good the far is employees that works at front they may need a new job or or new profession. When I first walked in me and one guys still there 5 minutes or the guy at the register and he would not take out order and then a young lady was counting her register behind him she said well I'll get y'all when I get my rest recounted. And she was taking orders and me and the other guy was waiting on our food and the three in the back behind her was really over in the floor and she told one of her co-workers which was the young guy to get it up and said it was his fault because he wasn't paying attention well the drive-thru window with the bright red hair call the other young lady that when she wasn't the manager and to shut her mouth and the lady with the red hair just kept on and on no being confrontational with the other lady at the register and then the guy started again make people uncomfortable I called Marcus twice to report it and I got his answering machine. The environment that they've created among themselves make customers uncomfortable one careful and their two small children got up and left this other couple that was beside me that was you no talking about it because they was being very loud. The lady with bright red hair stepped outside to call the store manager and she said that to the young guy and that's how I know she was calling the store manager and I guess she called the store manager they're called there's a guy came from the back I had a grey shirt on with a like a silver crime looking name tag on the left side of his shirt for the young girl to the back and there was talking about getting her fired and then a young guy was like yeah I'm a mover make more money so I can buy more shoes my first paycheck will for a pair of shoes. That was trying to make her out to be the problem then which the red headed girl started hollering and screaming afternoon girl about telling you guy that he wasn't paying attention to the t molding over in the floor she had to stop in the middle of order because he would not change it. And then they was out of town sauce in the lobby and I asked that young guy couldn't get some more who purposely ignored me and looked at me and walked away pyramid I had to get the young girl later on to get tartar sauce to put out the lobby and then he would not help her change the bag on it because she could have get it off she had to keep on pulling the snatching on it. You know maybe my $8 and some change for that Catfish & Shrimp for 99 and a order of jalapeno poppers ain't no fun from much but anytime I fell from Tuscaloosa all the way to Bessemer to the flea market and I'm warning Captain D's I will go right next door and buy Taco Bell before I stop at that Captain D's again. It has done got ridiculous how employees at will from the public that drives the customers away which pays their hourly wage. I don't guess they can comprehend that's where the paycheck comes from is customers paying in the money for the food and the people don't feel comfortable in the environment that they're making in y'all's establishment they won't come back. Oh I don't know I got want to handle the situation because that's what we are but not going somewhere where you going to be ignored when you walk up to the cash register and listen to a bunch of arguing because someone told another person but they wasn't...
Read moreThe Drive Thru was extremely busy and there was a long line of cars that were literally wrapped around the building, yet there were hardly any people inside the Dining Area, so my friend and I went inside to place our orders to go. Once inside the lobby, we noticed that there still wasn't a line, and since we both knew exactly what we wanted, we walked straight to the counter and began waiting to place our orders; however, instead of helping us, the cashier answered the store's telephone and proceeded to take a call-in order. Now, I'm not exactly sure how Captain D's wants their cashiers to do things, but I thought that it was rather rude to take someone's order over the phone while not even acknowledging your dine-in customers. Furthermore, we were there at the designated order area waiting to have our order taken well before the phone rang, so technically, the telephone folks should have been placed on hold until after we finished ordering.. IJS. While waiting for the cashier to finish keying our orders into the system, a couple of issues came to pass- I requested that an extra order of hush puppies be added to my order- and I asked the cashier what the price for that was because I didn't see it anywhere on the menu; unfortunately, she said that she didn't know; however, the man in line behind me knew exactly what the price was.. $2.89- and as it turns out- he was correct (and he doesn't even work for Captain D's)! We didn't have to wait long at all for our food, around ten minutes, which was GREAT! When the cashier handed me my big to-go bag, I opened the small box on top and there was one single hushpuppy in it. The cashier explained, with a straight face, that this was the extra hushpuppy I had added on [and paid almost $3 for]. No thanks, Captain D's - I don't think so! After speaking briefly with the shift manager, the cashier logged back in to correct this issue (along with the issue(s) of my two missing sides, missing condiments that were requested three times and my missing order of butterfly shrimp. The cashier was quite obviously new but she was really trying hard and I appreciate that SO much. Aside from ignoring us while taking a telephone order, she honestly did a great job and she definitely gets an A+ for effort. At the end of the day, the food we took home to our families was hot, fresh, and delicious! I never mind waiting if I'm waiting on hot food and that's EXACTLY what I got.. It was SO, SO worth the wait- We will both...
Read moreIt was "meh" (just okay). I was on the way home and had been on the road about 2 hours and I was growing so hungry and Captain D's just sounded SO good. So I looked up the nearest one and it was this location not too far off the interstate (but NOT an area I'm excited about going to when I'm alone...I mean it's Bessemer, ok?!). I go there around 8:45pm and this particular Captain D's is a little back off of the road and it's very dark. The drive-thru was packed but there was no way I was going to get out of my car. After I finally ordered a fried shrimp dinner, and after paying, I sat at the window for a good bit. Maybe 4 minutes or so. People behind me were getting aggravated at me but what was I supposed to do?! So they asked me to pull over to an area and said they'd bring it to me when it was ready, they also sent two other cars over there as well. My food came five minutes later and it was very good. Everything about the visit wasn't perfect, but hey...when it comes to customer service these...
