Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store — Restaurant in Bethany

Seattle does not have a Braums so I was especially delighted to find this burger joint here in my new home -Oklahoma City.

It was 10:49 AM on a Tuesday when I decided to stop for an early lunch and ordered a #1 Braum’s cheeseburger which includes fries and a drink.

Besides soda pop you can choose sweet or unsweetened tea or a milkshake to go with, I chose sweet tea, mostly because I’m trying to become an Okie 😎.

It wasn’t especially busy at the counter but there was quite the bustle going on in the back, nevertheless customer service was friendly and fast.

My fries were crispy and hot unlike those wimpy fries you often get in other burger joints and the hamburger was delicious. I was not disappointed.

I noticed they offer an apple cranberry walnut chicken salad which I plan to try on my next outing.

Their burger beats anything from any other burger joint I’ve tried so far and the beef comes from the Brahms local farm located in Tuttle Oklahoma. So it applies to my goal of shopping local.

Also something other burger joints don’t offer is the little market included inside the store.

At this location a very professional and friendly CSR named Emma manages the register for the Braum’s Fresh Market which offers a full line of “Fresh From the Farm” products including dairy and bakery all made each day and over 150 fresh meats, fruits, and vegetables, and so much more.

Emma tells me customers especially ask that they never stop offering a chili pack which you can find at the register counter.

On my way out I purchased Brahms ground sirloin and hot links to fix at home to savor and compare later.

I have had to bring my food back for a refund 3 different times at this location because there was meat in my shakes EVERY TIME....also Apparently asking for Jalapeños to be put on your burger violates their policy, which is about the only rule they will follow because they don't even clean their own tables off.... bunch of kids & criminals working the inside all laughing about it when you complain. after that there was long wait for my food and I got my Jalapeños "in a cup"..... which is ridiculous. I was checking out, getting some groceries and the cashier tells me to "go F$&@ myself" as I'm walking out the door.... I'm in awe.... To top it off I tell her manager and she says "they'll talk to her". Lol. It gets worse. They forgot to give me my shakes and still charged me for them. What I'm saying is.... if you go to this location be prepared to call the cops, get smart remarks and laughter from the staff, gross food rolled around on unclean surfaces, meat and food in your drinks, dirty tables you can't even eat on, and verbal abuse from the staff as you walk out the door with your back turned.... Ive been coming to this location since 1989 and I can officially say it needs to be closed and have something else put in its place. No wonder they have a "now hiring" sign out 11 months out of...

Been eating at this Braums for 40+ years. Monday May 5th 2025 I walked in at 10:30 pm thinking they closed at 11:00. I ordered a meal for dine-in and it took around 10 minutes to receive it which makes it 10:40 now. At 10:45 the guy that took my order came by and said we are now closed. After a little back and forth I continued to eat my meal. Theres another older genteman that has worked there for a long time in the grocery dept. that walked by and I told him what happened. He said to just finish my meal. I was still kinda shocked as I have never had this happen before in any establishment before in my life. 2 minutes later a black lady/manager came out and said " Sir, are you about finished"? I said "yes" and she said when "when my manager tells you we are closed its time to leave" I was in total shock as I have been in customer service for 45 years and have never heard of a customer being told to leave when the doors were locked, at least not when I used to work fast food.
