La Oaxaqueña Mexican cuisine — Restaurant in Bethel Park

I stopped in for lunch and was greeted warmly, which started things off well. I was told to sit anywhere, so I chose outside. The staff quickly brought me a menu along with complimentary chips and salsa, which I appreciated.

Unfortunately, after that, I was completely forgotten about. I waited 30 minutes with no follow-up before the waiter came over to apologize. By that point, I had to leave because I was still on the clock and couldn’t wait any longer for food.

Friendly start, but a disappointing experience overall. I didn’t get to try the food because of the long wait, and I likely won’t be returning...

Food was okay. The services was okay. They charged for chips and salsa which is usually complementary. We asked for 2 cups of water with lemon wedges and the charged us for water bottles. We ordered a house salad and it was mostly lettuce with no protein , no blue cheese and no hard boiled egg as noted in menu and they charged 16 dollars. I had the enchiladas oaxaqueña and chips and salsa. Chips were super fresh. Salsa was big on cilantro and delicious. The enchiladas were fantastic - Chicken was tender and no weird fat pieces in any bites. The mole was delightful, not too bitter or smoky. I will go there again. My colleague had the chicken rajas tamale and lengua con nopales - zero disappointment. The staff was super friendly and felt family owned and operated.
