March 2023 update We were near the mall when the lunchtime munchies called and we decided that a burger would be just the thing. It’s been a while since we’ve stopped at a Red Robin, so we swung in to try it out. Being mid-week, we were not too surprised that the place was relatively empty The hostess had the personality of a brick. No. A brick had more. She looked at us with a stony glare: “how many?” When we said “two”, she grabbed two menus turned around and walked away without another word. Luckily we knew the routine so we followed her. She plunked down the menus and walked away without saying another word. The waitress was fine. We ordered the Tycoon Burger and the Scorpion Gourmet Burger. Both were disappointing. The Tycoon speaks of mushrooms and truffle aioli. We saw two thin slices of what looked like mushrooms and if the aioli saw a truffle it must have been at a distance. The Scorpion burger promised some heat with its description. I think they had some watered down Red Hot on its mixed in with the Mayonnaise as it was definitely less spicy than what the fast food restaurants call spicy. It was also exceedingly messy to as stuff slopped out in all directions. For one of our “endless sides” we upgraded to the cole slaw. For the $1.79 charge you get three tablespoons of slaw. Good thing it was on the endless menu as we definitely did ask for refills! As you can tell, this was a disappointing visit. ================================= June 2021 Update: Stopped in for lunch as we were running all kinds of errands in the neighborhood. A lot of staff was hanging around and the place was not too busy - which was kind of surprising given that the mall location this is in was packed. Ordered the Avo-Cobbo Salad and their special Bacon Jam Burger. The salad was actually quite nice, but we did have to hunt around until we found the quarter of avocado (Note that I took the picture AFTER we found it and re-arranged the goodies). The burger was tasty - I could have used a smaller patty, and bacon that was not so limp - you can see it in the picture... But it was definitely tasty. Oh yes, they still have their endless fries ... and they do not salt them when they show up at your table. So, a three star place, remains a three star place. The waitress we had came with a better attitude, but the two runners who brought us the drinks and food could have been replaced by robots... 2017 - All kinds of burgers, sandwiches, and other stuff. It's a popular location which leads to delays and an attitude of not caring much on the part of the staff. For instance, we were initially given a completely rusted fork. Then, when we asked for a knife, we were given a plastic one????

We just ordered lunch to go from South Hills Red Robin and from the first minute to finishing the last fries everything was absolutely delicious & perfect. We called to order and the lady that took our order couldn’t have been any nicer if she tried and she got the order 100% correct. The food was on time as I had a particular time I was picking it up, the food was amazing, the burgers were cooked perfect and all the sides were perfect. The fries were not greasy but they were tender, crispy at the same time. I know this is just hamburgers and fries but when people exceed your expectations on something you may consider simple in my opinion I think that’s fantastic. We ordered gourmet hamburgers (Monster burger & Black & Blue burger) which I absolutely without a doubt recommend. I was also given a $7 discount due to my points which if you don’t sign up for their rewards, make sure you do it because you can get free sides and other free stuff just for being a customer! The picture you see below is what’s left of the Black & Bleu burger. Unfortunately, mine was gone before I remembered to do a review. Lol, but it was incredible!! I hope this helps you make a decision on your next meal. Also, I honestly have never had bad service or a bad experience there in all the years we’ve been going there. I didn’t talk about price because I think their prices are very fair for what you get. It was about $22 for our food before tip and it was take out but I still believe you should tip either way. I can’t say anything bad about their prices. If you went to McDonald’s and ordered 2 Big Mac meals you would pay around $20 and even though I like Micky D’s from time to time it doesn’t compare to Red Robin.

Uggghhh. One of the worst, unhealthiest, and disgusting places I have ever dined at. I ordered a Veggie Burger- Vegan. It was mostly a rip-off. For ten dollars I was given microwaved broccoli and a meager Burger. I know the broccoli was microwaved because 1) The plate was warm and if you watch Gordon Ramsay, you know that a warm plate means that the meal was microwaved 2) the broccoli tasted like rubber, it was hard to chew it and just disgusting-something worth regurgitating over. Then there is the decent Veggie Burger, which actually had a good taste if it weren't so darn small. The burger is basically a vegetable pattie, which avocado wrapped up in lettuce. Only 1/6 of my tiny burger ACTUALLY had avocado. Meanwhile, my mother ordered some fish burger while my dad ordered a burger. The fish burger was soaked in some disgusting pinkish sauce, and she called the fish "dry", a sign that it is probably frozen. While my dad's burger, he thought it was decent. Not to mention this place,Red Robin's greasy burgers, has a giant menu, which means some items are probably frozen, and not fresh. Overall this place is a disaster, I have heard this place recently had a fire, and no wonder since how it is being. DO NOT COME HERE, THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS. Nearby there is noodles and company, and if you desire burgers, there is Burgatory, 10/10 in my opinion. This place makes burgers look bad.

First off the place was packed at 5pm on a Saturday and the wait was over a half hour, BUT tons of booths opened and not being used right away. Made absolutely no sense.

Secondly, when we got seated our waitress Sasha working the tables right behind the hostess stand, took our drink order took 10 mins to bring our drinks back then walked away before arriving 10 mins later to take our order. After you drop the drinks off you should just ask if we’re ready to order (in our case we were)…

We ordered no apps so just waited for our dinner. It came out timely and no probs. But our waitress Sasha NEVER came back to check on us. Never came back to give us any refills. Never made sure our orders were right and we had to track her down each and every time. She was not a good waitress. Even though it was a busy night you should still be checking up on your customers making sure their food came out good and right. Also cleaning dirty dishes off the table and checking to make sure our drinks are filled.

When our checks came, she charged us for 2 hot teas as we did not know hot tea is a upcharge for any refills. TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEES TO TELL CUSTOMERS WHEN STUFF IS A DAMN UPCHARGE!!! You’re just trying to get money out of them. Just train them to say “that’s an upcharge in case you didn’t know”. It’s not that hard…

But the manager took it off for us (which the manager couldn’t even bother to come out and talk face to face). Idc how busy it is, the manager should show face when there are issues. That was rude not to come out!

Usually never have a problem at this Red Robin but tonight was shitty, service wise. Do better at this location. You’re in South Hills, Homestead does...
