Tonight, I was THAT customer. I came in at 4:30, not realizing that the process of buying a new phone would take close to an hour and a half because I was unprepared. The store closes at 6. The store was so busy, but an employee put me in the virtual line and I went on exploring the products on display. I was helped by a very nice man. He was great, and helped me get set up with another employee, Larry. Larry was SO SWEET and patient. I asked about a billion questions, all of which he had answers to. Eventually, I was able to sort out the details of my new phone and the process of transferring my old files to the new one began. The gentleman that was helping me before Larry walked me through everything. I left the store feeling excited about my new phone, happy about the buying process, and thrilled to be coming back in store soon for a photography class. I appreciate that the employees are only helpful and not pushy. I read reviews about waiting in line. Apple products are in high demand, so you must wait your turn when you're in the store. It's well worth it. I have been shopping at this store since I moved to the South Hills and I have had nothing but positive experiences. Thanks for reading if you made it to the end! Here's a pic of my cat from my new iPhone!

The one star reviews here humor me since they are likely from disgruntled Samsung/Android groupies. The reality is that the wait times here are long, even with a scheduled appointment, but that’s because this location is almost always packed and busy. However, the staff here have always been super friendly and helpful. My iPhone 6 last year took a nasty fall and needed to have the screen replaced. Turns out they couldn’t get the screen to lay properly so they ended up giving me a replacement refurbished iPhone 6! I’m still using my phone with no issues over a year later. My wife and I bought our first iMac here in 2004, and we just replaced it a few weeks ago with a new iMac not because the old one stopped working but because it would no longer accept new software and updates. What PC lasts 13 years?! Our old, white, polycarbonate iMac is still working and is now at my mother-in-law’s house so she can learn to use a computer. Apple makes amazing quality products that are intuitive and sleek. Their products are not only functional but artistic. I’m glad to have made the switch from PC all those years ago and will continue to come here for all my Apple product needs.

I recently visited the Apple Store at South Hills Village, and it was a really smooth and positive experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and helped guide me to exactly what I needed. I wasn’t sure if I should upgrade my iPhone or get it fixed, but the team patiently listened, explained all the options, and gave me honest suggestions without any pressure to buy. They have the full range of Apple products here — iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple Watches, accessories — everything you’d expect. The store is very clean, bright, and organized, making it easy to explore and try out the devices. What stood out the most was the support from the team. Everyone was knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. They quickly diagnosed an issue with my AirPods and replaced them on the spot, which saved me a lot of time. Plus, they were very professional but also easygoing, which made the whole experience much less stressful. Overall, this Apple Store really lives up to the brand’s reputation. Great service, great products, and a team that actually cares about helping you. Definitely recommend visiting if you’re in the South Hills area.

Having worked with incredibly rude technician “Mark“, I can firmly say that I have never had such a miserable experience with electronics.

My phone’s battery had been draining faster than normal, So I took the store in to assess it and inevitably get the battery replaced. Multiple times, the technician that helped me The first time I went in told me how important it was to have an official Apple store replaced the battery so it would be properly “weather sealed”.

The battery was replaced, no problems. Shortly, after getting my phone repaired, I noticed my cameras. Photos looked extremely blurry. After further inspection, I saw that the phone had condensation on the inside of it.

I took it to the Apple Store, and like any normal person, would assume that Something may have possibly been sealed incorrectly, or a mistake might have been made. I wasn’t blaming anyone, judging anyone or even really upset.

The Apple Store is not near where I live, so it takes time for me to even go out and visit the Apple Store in person, but I drove there, waited an hour for someone to help me, and when I finally got a technician, Mark decided he would be the most condescending, pretentious, individual possible in this moment.

Repeatedly he gave me some spiel about how they use a liquid sealer and various tests to ensure that it was built in the proper Factory standards.

Then he said that the water inside was clearly my fault and that if I wanted to fix it, it would cost me $600 or I could trade in my “damaged phone” for a new iPhone.

I expressed to him how bezoar this sounded, because my phone was perfectly fine, except for the battery only days before bringing it in today, and now has water inside of it.

He proceeded to mock me and indicate that I was implying that they purposely put water in my phone… When it is clear That someone could have possibly made a mistake or done an unsatisfactory job sealing the phone.

Either way, I am completely done with the South Hills Village, Apple Store, and Apple entirely.

I am sick of this multi billion dollar corporation treating its customers like trash when they spend hard earned money on products they expect to...

I bought a 2020 macbook air in July for Grad school. It stopped working in October. I took it to this store which is approximately 1 hour and 1/2 away and they were unable to fix it. They instead told me they could send it off to apple repair and that it would be overnighted, repaired, and then overnighted back to my home address. This was on a Tuesday and he said the earliest I would get it would be Saturday and the latest Monday. Then the only solution they had for me since I needed a laptop to complete my school work was for me to buy another laptop or Ipad?? Well, I checked the status of my repair on Monday and it hadn't even shipped from the store or at least that is what it was showing me. I called apple support and they stated on their end it showed it was at the repair center but not being worked on. Also the support staff said it takes two days to ship not overnight and that its business days only so I would have it from 5 business days that it shipped. The apple store in Pittsburgh said they were shipping it that Tuesday evening and it actually wasn't shipped until Wednesday. It is Wednesday exactly a week since it's been shipped and I don't have my laptop, have no clue where it actually is or if it is being fixed, when I will be getting it back and no one seems to be able to help me. I understand if they are backed up but they shouldn't tell a consumer that it will be fixed and returned in 5 business days if it isn't going to be and they should be able to fix my tracking status so I can' see exactly where it is and what is going on. I even asked if they could exchange the laptop for another since its only a few months old and they said no it was past the 14 days. I'm sorry but that is absurd. I bought this laptop because I loved my last macbook air and knew it would get me through my Grad career and now here I am without my laptop during finals week and when I have major projects due!? Unfortunately after this I will probably steer from buying from apple ever again. :-( Worst...

A little over a week ago, I experienced terrible service at this store location and learned they don't know everything. I purchased a new i-phone. I upgraded from a 6-year old XR to the 15. The old XR was at max storage capacity, so l was unable to transfer data phone to phone at home. It was supposed to be an easy set up. So, I went back to Apple and asked for help setting up my new phone. I was there a bit over an hour and talked to 3 technicians plus a female manager was called over. The technician was very rude and chastised me for almost exceeding my 128 storage capacity on my XR: They said I'd have to delete a ton of videos/pics from my old phone, then back everything up, then attempt a transfer. Since it was at max storage capacity, they anticipated 6-8 hours or all day and best to do it at home and come back when my old phone had been backed up, if I still had trouble moving the data over to the new phone. I was so excited to get a new phone and here, none of the Apple people could help me get it set up, it was so disheartening. As I was walking out of the mall, I remembered AT&T was my carrier. I decided to stop in at AT&T (also in SHV) and asked one of the guys for help. I relayed my problem and the sales guy shook his head at what I told them the Apple people told me. He took a quick glance at my phone settings and other than the storage max alert, saw nothing unusual. He then started the phone to phone transfer and it said that it would be done in an hour, no deletion of photos/vids necessary. I walked around the mall for a bit to kill time and sure enough, when I returned an hour later, all my photos/ videos from my old phone and all other data had successfully transferred over! I'm not sure if the Apple Store has a WiFi connection problem or what, but they were of no help to me that day! So thank God for the guys at the AT&T store! Apple wanted me unnecessarily delete information from my old phone! I think they are...
