My plan was to window shop & possibly eat some lunch. I have been to South Hills Village many times in the past 30 some years. But usually accompanied my wife who is usually on mission to see or purchase specific items.
Parking was easy near lunch hour during the week. And access to the SHV was through Target. Did some window shopping through Target to the inner Mall.
I walked through the lower section of the SHV & when to the display of the SHV Mall floor plan. Here there is a listing of the various business establishments by type of business listed with a letter or number designation that is identified also on the overall SHV floor plan.
In addition the adjacent businesses that are not included under the SHV Roof were also identified on the overall general vicinity plan by name and location.
I was looking for someplace for a quick warm lunch. Located the eating establishments on the plan, traveled up the escalator to the 2nd floor to the general eating grouping. There is a good selection of eateries from which to choose. And sufficient table groupings & seating stiles from which to chose.
I had a good fulfilling lunch. While I was eating cleaning personnel set about picking up any loose debris that might have been left by prior customers. This was performed without impacting the current customers space.
The restrooms for the general public in the eating area were clean and we'll laid out for use & had sufficient supplies.
It was pleasing experience. And one that I would look forward to the actual sales, purchased items ldentification, installation reguirements, required testing of the specific items to verify that the particular items is meeting the...

Read moreApparently from a store worker within the mall, the Management of the mall is encouraging the stores within the mall to institute the City of Pittsburgh plastic bag ban ordinance in its mall. However, the mall is NOT in the City of Pittsburgh and is not enforceable by Allegheny County municipalities. If you read the mall’s description on Wikipedia, they clearly mention they are in the suburbs of Pittsburgh, Bethel Park and Upper St.Clair, which are not part of the City of Pittsburgh. Allegheny County Council tabled the discussion of this and did NOT pass any such ordinance. As the holiday season approaches, I encourage upper management to STOP pushing this, it will only force people to shop online more. I and others should not have to pay for a paper bag to shop in a store. It is a matter of principal and is a cost of doing business all of which are tax write offs. As I make note of what stores are doing this, I will no longer shop in store and focus my purchases to online where they...
