For starters the restaurant is super crammed, which I would be willing to overlook if we were satisfied with our food, but we were not. We got the breakfast sandwhich with hash browns and bacon. The hash browns were over cooked, the bacon was really over cooked- almost petrified. The breakfast sandwhich which consisted of sausage, which wasn’t good, eggs that I was expecting to be scrambled were eggs cooked over hard and just sliced up and sloppily thrown on the bagel which was soaked from all the grease and egg goop- not good at all! We also got the big bear breakfast which was your choice of pancakes or French toast- I got the French toast which wasn’t good at all. I also got dippy eggs which were cooked alright and home fries which were mostly burnt and didn’t have much flavor. My son got a cheese burger and fries which looked really good and he enjoyed- so that was the only saving grace of our meals. After we were ready to pay it came to 35 bucks not including tip which I think is expensive for 2 adult breakfasts and a kids meal, coffee and couple cups of juice. If the meals were good I wouldn’t have minded spending almost 40 bucks for food but with our horrible meals and crammed restaurant experience- we...

My wife and I liked it better when the old owners had the place. We decided to give them another chance and ordered breakfast and my toast came out burnt, I mean completely black. I was scraping the black off of my toast when the waitress came over and asked cheerfully, "How is everything?". I said, "Well, my toast is burnt" and she said, "Let me send it back for you.". The cook should have never sent it to the table like that and the waitress should have not brought it to our table like that. Immediately after she took my charred toast back to the kitchen to be cooked properly we heard from the kitchen, loud enough for every one to hear, "Some people are just fussy!" I guess if I am expecting my food to be edible, professionally and competently correctly is being fussy, well then, I'm fussy, especially when I am paying my hard earned money for it. I guess that I am just too fussy to be their customer any more. We will never again darken...

Read many reviews of others and wanted to update and correct some of them! First of all, there is plenty of dining room area after 1PM if it is not Saturday or Sunday. Their fish sandwich was just excellent! We had their fried cheese, tuna melt, lobster bisque soup and two fish sandwiches with macaroni & cheese! Believe me everything was better than I have had anywhere else !!! This is “My Go To Place” when I have family and friends visit from out of town! I can be sure of the quality, quantity, and variety of the food served there!!! One more thing is that the owner, his employees, and the customers eating there all were just so considerate and wonderful to me as I was in a Walker !!! (there was no problem accessing the restaurant!) Now I know why this little restaurant is highly Recommended by...

They had me from the minute I walked in. I was greeted with a smile from a teenage young man -what an anomaly. Everyone who provided service was exceptionally kind. And as far as the food is concerned, it was delicious. I had a Reuben sandwich with fries and coleslaw. I was halfway through the meal before deciding to click a pic. It’s not an appealing picture so don’t hold it against them. Interestingly I had direct view into the kitchen area (Having worked in a kitchen before I know that’s where the truth about a restaurant is told). It was evident that the workers really cared about the quality of food and service they provide. I’d love to come back and try some other dishes. My neighbor had a smoked pulled pork sandwich. It looked delicious.

I stopped in here for lunch today. I've been driving by lately, and it's always busy, so thought "why not?". I got the shrimp po boy, which was delicious and sweet potato fries (my favorite) along with the cole slaw. I was not disappointed until I asked about a brownie with ice cream for dessert. I was told they didn't have ice cream due to logistic issues. All in all, it was a good experience. The waitstaff was extremely attentive and quite joyful. The atmosphere gives that small down dinner feel just like you'd find in Mayberry minus the fuzz. Thank you for the pleasurable experience. Also, make sure you bring cash for a discounted experience. Generous portions beyond what I could have expected, incredibly friendly staff and customer base with a southern charm, and the quality of the meal was fantastic. Love this place. 4/25/21 Update: I am heartbroken to say the standards of service have deteriorated significantly since the last time I was there. The waitress didn't check on us once between the time the food was brought to our table and the time we were brought the check, not that I was really too excited to get a refill on that rather unappealing coffee. The main meal was good, but the fries were really bland. I had to get my own salt, pepper, ketchup, etc. This was really disappointing.
