We ordered our cake from Bethel Bakery for our 9/30/23 wedding. It was absolutely gorgeous and delicious too! We did pay a bit extra for our bottom gold tier but loved the look of it. All staff members we interacted with were kind and knowledgeable and took note of what we wanted. We purchased our cake separate from our venue, even though they were one of the recommended bakeries. This allowed us to tailor how many flavors and slices of cake we actually wanted. We chose three flavors and had them sliced and plated on a table, as opposed to served to all guests, to eliminate waste and allow for guest selection. Even our three tier wedding cake had two of the flavors. We enjoyed all three choices and particularly love how their buttercream is tasty and not overly sweet. Bethel also coordinated with our florist so fresh flowers could be used on our cake. We just celebrated our one year anniversary and were blown away by how delicious and fresh our top tier stayed in the freezer. I would definitely recommend going with their almond cake with raspberry buttercream filling! The chocolate cake with cookies & cream buttercream and lemon cake with lemon buttercream were delicious too. The only thing we wished we got to experience was the in-person tasting. I went to my friend's tasting at Bethel pre-COVID and it was really enjoyable. The at-home/virtual tasting allows for more people to enjoy, but I do hope they bring the in-person option back for future couples.

UPDATE: We appreciate Bethel Bakery reaching out to us and doing what it could to make things right. We hired Bethel Bakery for our wedding cake. We had such high hopes given all the great things we had heard about the company, but I’m so disappointed in our experience. Our cake looked VERY DIFFERENT from the design we discussed and was just very sloppily done. The photos below show the difference in what we wanted versus what we ended up with. We did in fact want only two tiers and the cake was supposed to include the style of the top tier and the bottom tier of the sample photo. The geometric design we wanted looks very little like the photo we provided. I can’t understand why the strips weren’t cut to be thinner to match the design we discussed. We also ended up with the style of the second tier rather than the top tier. This did not seem like a complex design but if it was too difficult to replicate, we wish someone would have just let us know. We would have happily gone with a simpler style. The planning process was a constant struggle. Any time we had a meeting we had to start from scratch and re-explain the details of our wedding and the cake we wanted. When we had our finalization meeting to settle on the design and quantity, the consultant thought we were doing our initial tasting which had happened several months prior. She had no record of our initial meeting or any info about our wedding. There was also a lack of communication as to how and when the cake would be delivered and we had to follow up multiple times in the days leading up to the wedding. On top of all that, we have 3 leftover back-up cakes (that I believe serve 25 people each) and I’m pretty sure we were told to order enough cake for 200 guests when we only had 141 guests. Last but not least, we ordered and paid for a separate cupcake for a guest with a nut allergy who could not eat the white almond cake and it was not provided. The cake tasted great but the exterior looked so bad and the overall process was very stressful. We had heard so many great things about Bethel Bakery and are so shocked to have had such a bad experience.

We used Bethel Bakery for our wedding cake + some cookies. We had a great experience with them from beginning to end. We were able to pick up samples of icings and cakes to try at home, then discuss with a member of their wedding team via Zoom the next day. We picked yellow cake with vanilla and cookies and cream fillings, and it was SO good. We had so many people comment on how much they liked the cake (and we loved it, as well). For display, we got a two-tier wedding cake. We had the Bethel Bakery team decorate it simply with a spatula to smooth down the sides and a bead border. We had our planner add flowers at the venue. We got two back-up cakes to make sure all the guests could be served. Their serving estimates were pretty spot-on. We only ended up with about half a cake to take home (which is not a problem - more cake for us). I picked up our cake and delivered it to our caterer the day before our wedding. Everything was packaged well and easy to transport. Every interaction I had with their team members was great, very friendly and helpful. Now that I've gotten a taste, I will definitely be coming back for more whenever we need baked goods!

The best wedding cake I could have ever asked for! We went to taste the cake several months ago with my Aunt and Uncle and we were walked through all of the different flavor options, as well as size, colors, decorations. Every option was so beautiful and delicious, but what we went with was ultimately delivered and turned out way better than we could have expected. When my now husband and I saw the cake on the cake table during our reception, we knew we had made the right decision. We were so excited to be able to cut into it and take a bite! We had guests continuously come up to us and compliment us on our cake and we continuously shouted BETHEL BAKERY!!!! I grew up eating Bethel Bakery cakes, so I wouldn’t have gone anywhere else regardless, however, my now husband and his family had no clue how amazing it truly was and I am so glad this was the decision we went with. Thank you to the entire baking team, the staff that assisted us with the decision making process, and the delivery driver, for getting the cake to the venue with no issues at all (at least not that I know of, LOL).

Tried this bakery because they're supposed to have amazing buttercream. Not impressed. (Eileen's bakery in Buffalo has amazing buttercream) I don't see the hype at all, the buttercream is just like butter with a bunch of sugar in it. That's exactly what the texture and taste is like. The locks were good but nothing better than you would find in a grocery store. The cheese danish was good but nothing impressive. The French pastry and carrot cake square both were soft and moist but did not taste fresh. They both tasted like something that was sitting in a refrigerator uncovered. The brownie was ok. I've had much better from a grocery store bakery. The buttercream donuts were ok, the donut part did not seem particularly soft and fresh, it was kind of dried out. there was nothing we had at this bakery that was better than anything you would get at a grocery store. Would definitely not go back. We tried prantls bakery too and we liked the things we got from there much better, although the Northside location is in the pit of the ghetto, go to a different location.

My wife and I were recommended Bethel Bakery for our wedding cake by one of our vendors and WE LOVED OUR CAKE! From our first initial meeting with Nicolette, we felt very comfortable and were not pressured into choosing any options outside of our budget. Nicolette was fantastic in suggesting certain designs, flavors, and colors for our cake and she make the entire process fun and relaxing! Did I mention that the cake tasted amazing!?!? We chose a three-tiered cake with multiple layered batters and filling, as well as three backup cakes. The price was very reasonable and I was blown away with Bethel Bakery’s professionalism and expertise. Throughout the entire process, Bethel Bakery made our experience stress-free and fun. I highly recommend Nicolette at Bethel Bakery for your wedding cake! You will not be disappointed! Thank you so much Nicolette!
