Nice place, bad food, poorly trained staff. The app was disgusting. Dried pieces of what you may think is meat, unseasoned served with a pile of blisters peppers... a quantity that if anyone would actually eat as an app, would have serious bowel issues because of. .
Luckily the manager doesn't come over to talk to tables so we get to vent out the issues here for everyone to read. That's what you get for hiring a wet behind the ears 25 year old who probably at best went to Lincoln tech or bridgeport community He also doesn't mind the staff standing at the hostess desk chatting away loud enough to hear at the table 20 ft away and he also doesn't mind the staff sitting on the counter where drinks are poured in their server area near the bathroom. Poor girl must have needed a place to sit, so she hopped up on the counter. Nice.
My meal was on par for the app. Got the short rib. Rubber like short rib, Knorr demi glace, with seared brussel sprouts that were bitter and tough, served on a cold plate that took the warmth away from the food. I'd bet dollars to donuts they get precooked short rib from syco or other similar company. Also instant potato? If they spend "countless hours" on a dish like this, it would only serve aa proof they don't know what they are doing and can't manage time effectively in a kitchen.
Then the dessert. Cool whip and bryers like ice cream for the win that they call gelato. They put cool whip in a piping bag and think they did something. Cool whip doesn't even actually contain cream... You need to learn how to cook and train your staff.
I asked about beers.... server had a blank face... When I was a server, you better know the menu... just saying. Times are different and clearly standards have dropped to a all time low. There are about 6 beers on tap, she knew zero. Asked about food, clearly she had never eaten there and more to my point of poorly managed, the business goes do food tastings or training with the staff. The food runner will have his thumb firmly placed in the middle of your plate.
The fact so many people gave this place high reviews shows how stupid people are collectively. If you know how to cook, just eat at home and...

Also, Iâve been eating out multiple times per week my entire 25 year adult life (18-43) & enjoy excellent foodâŚ
TOP 3 BURGER OF ALL TIME: I love burgers and this one could contend for my personal #1. Cooked to well done mouth watering perfection! No pink, yet very succulent. Masterfully charred without any burnt taste. Delicious grill marked brioche bun. Juicy full cuts of bacon at just the right thickness. Crisp, fresh veggies (& not soggy - i hate soggy). Perfectly cooked and very tasty shoe string fries (McDâs style). Came with Boraâs âSecret Sauceâ which made the whole meal a knock out of the park. Bravo Bora staff.
1st CLASS SERVICE: Greeted with a smile by every staff member encountered. Pleasant and eager to please. Quick and efficient bagging of steaming hot entrees. Expedient payment processing. A+
AFFORDABLE GOURMET: considering a Big Mac meal is now $11-13, getting a gourmet quality burger for $16 is an absolute steal of a deal. Especially in this inflated economy. Easily a $20+ burger.
FUN AMBIENCE: the entire establishment is tastefully decorated for the Christmas holiday season. Felt like being at a high end amusement park themed restaurant. Walls, mirrors, doors and tables all done up beautifully. Paired with jazz type music and an amiable staff, itâs a total win. Very comfy.
CONCLUSION: Eat here TODAY! We must support our local small business entrepreneurs and restauranteurs! Nothing worse than seeing a great food spot close down from lack of patronage. Best part is hard to decide on, but if you want a mouth watering, gourmet meal that wonât break the bank, BORA is your new favorite spot! I highly recommend and will be eating here weekly (at...
Read moreA poor service for ok food with hefty check! So disappointed. this restaurant opened recently and would like to pass as a high end restaurant. The dishes are pretty highly priced and with the poor experience we had will certainly not return. The food took more than 1 hour to come and this for only 4 plates out of 7. The waiter was not professional, although cannot be blamed as was so young... He pointed at me with his pen asking "you?" when taking my order! he crossed over guests to give dishes that were for the other side of the table. We were a table of 7 with 3 starving teens. One of them after 1 hour asked the waiter when the food would arrive et replied in a minute and we waited another 20min for 4 dishes to arrive...still missing 3 salads. 2 arrived within 10 minutes... Out of the 4 - 1 medium rare burger was so cooked it was beyond well done, 1 risotto was over cooked by far (couldn't detect rice anymore) with oily spinach, and barely warm chicken... then the last Caesar salad arrived - once someone from our table got up to complain! This after I tried to get someone's attention... she smiled and turned around to avoid me... When it arrived, the last Romain salad was with sous-vide chicken and hardly chopped large tough pieces of salad... They did not charge us for the salad and offered the desserts, however for a total bill of more than $200 without tips, with 1 dish not counted and free desserts... this is not of the expected standard. If you want to pretend to be high end, at least train your staff, get a proper chef and maybe prepare the cold salads first and then serve the hot food... This restaurant has to aim higher if they want to maintain their prices. customers are not just stupid cash dishing...
