So you're thinking of going here because of the awesome experience you had with their food truck? Oh you don't know about the food truck? We'll come back to that in a minute. Broken Symmetry is just that, an uncommon marriage of a Mexican restaurant and a microbrew, but oh yes it works. There's no Dos Equis but who cares? There's 8 great home brews of all types listed on the board, so just order a flight if you're unsure what to get. The food is awesome and very reasonably priced. The burritos are BIG and STUFFED with steak, pork, chorizo...whatever you want. Try the plantain chips and guacamole for an appetizer. It's not a huge menu but everything on it is awesome. It's a casual place with a combination of tables and benches to sit at, including outdoors when it's nice out. Order at the counter then find a seat and relax. Get there after 5:30 and the crowd starts to build. Overall great food and beer at a great price, you can't go wrong. Oh, and that food truck? Well that actually led to the restaurant being started - it is that successful. You can find these nice folks around noon at 100 Mill Plain Rd in Danbury in the building parking lot selling their wonderful burritos and a few other items. It's a great lunch option and you won't go hungry!

This is one of my favorite places. It’s a unique vibe and it’s right in the center of quaint Bethel. We went later in the afternoon and sat outside. It was nice. I tried the farmhouse sour and the pineapple sour as well. The pictured drink with the fruit in it is their white sangria. The sangria was my favorite. (Sorry! I know it’s a brewery.) The sours were good, just I am truly a wine drinker at heart. The fries were good. Could have been a little crispier for me. Smoke sauce is yummy. The ranch is missing a little bit of flavor personally. The service was great throughout the visit except when we asked for our check. We asked two different people for our check and it took over a half hour to get it. A little frustrating, but everyone is short staffed so we just remained patient. We will definitely be back!

This brewery is such a gem in Connecticut! It’s been voted by the CT Brewer’s Guild for best food at a brewery and oh my gosh I can see why! Here’s what to get: + the buttermilk chicken melt + the pretzel + kimchi arranci + buffalo dip eggrolls There’s actually some super cool history about this place! Way back in the day it used to be train station for hauling lumber. The train still passes but never stops. Prior to be being a brewery it was an abandoned bike shop. The brewmaster and owner has an extensive background in aerospace engineering. If you order a flight, I definitely recommend: + pale blue dot + axion + nimbus + courage They had a nice selection ranging from IPA’s to stouts! 12/10 recommend visiting this tasty trackside brewery!

Insanity is repeating the same action expecting a different result. This means I’d be insane if I continue to eat here. Idk, I guess I’m nostalgic for the days when Broken Symmetry actually served food that was as good as their beer, but now they’re just a place where you can pay $21 for some ground beef and jalapeƱos stuffed inside a greasy soggy sun dried tomato wrap. Sorry guys, I’ve given you SO MANYYY chances to recover. I’ve checked in with a takeout order at least once a month; often every 2-3 weeks. It has been consistently terrible for the better part of a year. Maybe you just have to be a few flights in to full appreciate this new school approach to hipster cuisine? Idk. This was once a place I raved about to my friends, these days I’d advise against it. I’ve tried many dishes from multiple menus and it is ALWAYS a disappointment. Please hire an actual qualified chef to save that ridiculous menu along with some qualified kitchen staff to prepare the new meals and once you’ve done that please come reply to this review. I’ll be happy to give you yet another chance and remove this review if things actually improve. So very...

A Southerner’s Review

Three weeks ago I was back in Danbury for a business meeting. I visit the northeast twice a year to meet with my customer. We talked about this story below, and I hope yall will enjoy it. For the last two years, I’ve gone to Broken Symmetry twice; once on a random day of the week and once for Oktoberfest.

There’s a larger gentlemen who has a long beard from the gods who I’d like to personally call out. The first time we came to the brewery, he was our waiter. And a year and 3 months afterwards during Oktoberfest of 2022, he was in the window taking our coupons for a beer. Mind you, I do have a southern accent from Miss’ippi but I recall him saying ā€œweren’t you here last year? I remember you!ā€

Call it what you want, that is down home family service. Someone who remembers you even though haven’t been home in years.

Thank yall again for making someone feel like home when they’re away from their family on a business trip. I pray this notion of goodwill never leaves such an amazing...
