“Aren’t you going to take a rose?” That’s one of the things I will take away from my last visit to Bitty and Beau’s. My mom saw that a new coffee shop had opened. She told me about it and what the story was and I knew I needed to go. I wasn’t having a good day, but had made plans to go to this new coffee shop with my friend. We were hoping that this visit would cheer us up. We ordered our coffees, and when we went to pick them up, we were asked if we were going to take a rose. We noticed a bouquet of yellow roses and each took one. It made our days.
I absolutely love the story behind this coffee shop. It all started because a couple had two children and wanted them to have the opportunity to work and not be discriminated against. They have opened up over 20 stores and hire people who have special needs to give everyone these opportunities. As someone who works with people who are developmentally disabled, I understand their want to be included and to go out and even work. They have over 20 locations all over the U.S., and this is amazing because it’s giving everyone new opportunities.
The entire experience is amazing, and I would go out of my way to get coffee there. When you walk in, there is merchandise all along the wall and there is a lot of seating, if you are looking for a space to do work. As they do have a lot of seating, it is not very comfortable because it is just hard wood benches.
The prices are a little expensive, like the keychains, which are $12. Is that expensive? Yes. But did I buy one? Also yes. Everyone is so welcoming and you feel a positive energy when you walk in. A latte is about $5.50 for a 16 ounce, they also have a 12 ounce option. I would compare the prices to Starbucks, which is also a little bit pricey. I enjoy how they have several different flavors like caramel, mocha, and vanilla. There’s also several other flavors including their pumpkin flavor for fall. I also enjoy how they have multiple types of drinks including lattes and frappes. I only wish they would add a little less milk and a little extra coffee. I haven't tried to but maybe I can ask for an extra shot in my lattes.
They have a small selection of food to choose from, and they’re very basic things, so it’s not overwhelming. They have muffins, bagels, and cookies. There is food but the main focus is drinks. They have a couple less options than Starbucks. For example, they don’t have sandwiches like Starbucks does.
It is a great environment with great people who genuinely seem to enjoy being there. I just love how they write special notes on the bags and cups! I will definitely...
Read moreDuring my latest outing to Bitty and Beau’s Coffee Shop, I was thoroughly delighted by the exceptional quality of their offerings and the warm, inviting atmosphere. This café has mastered the art of beverage-making, with standout drinks like the strawberry banana smoothie, chai, and iced coffee.
The strawberry banana smoothie was a highlight, offering a harmonious blend of ripe strawberries and creamy banana, its refreshing taste perfectly suiting a sunny afternoon. The chai was a revelation, with a robust infusion of spices that was both invigorating and comforting, balanced with just the right touch of sweetness. The iced coffee, robust and rich, provided a smooth, refreshing finish that left me energized and satisfied.
Bitty and Beau’s shines not just in its drinks but also in its ambiance. The coffee shop’s laid-back atmosphere was ideal for our group, offering a mix of cozy spots and communal tables that facilitated both lively discussions and quiet moments. The décor is charmingly simple, creating a space that feels both stylish and homey, perfect for long stays.
Overall, Bitty and Beau’s Coffee Shop is a must-visit for anyone looking for top-notch beverages in a friendly and comfortable setting. Whether you’re a smoothie lover, a chai enthusiast, or a coffee aficionado, you’re sure to be impressed. My experience was delightful from start to finish, and I’m eager to return. Read moreMy husband and I went here wanting to love it. We decided to go in for breakfast, which is limited, it is mostly a coffee shop, but that's ok- we didn't realize that. They did have breakfast burritos so we ordered two and two coffees. We had no issue at all with the service, and the coffee's were fine. The location has open ceilings and even though we could tell that they had done some things to mitigate noise it was not very effective and on a Saturday morning with people talking and coming in and out (it was fairly busy) the noise level was uncomfortable for us. When our food and drinks were done we were able to find a nice spot outside and eat, so that was nice. However the breakfast burritos were not good at all. They were mostly tortillas, which had been microwaved so they were hard with no filling. We did eat them, but in total we paid $20 and left hungry. So we loved the idea, and wanted to love the place, but it did not work out. We wish them all the best, people seemed to like it there and for a coffee to go it would be fine, but if you are looking for a breakfast spot this is...
