Ran in Saturday, they close at 6pm. We were there at 5:50pm to pick up a few last minute school supplies. Two employees were at the front door closing the gate. One, which I assumed to be the manager, was telling everyone who came in, "we are closing in 5 minutes" clearly aggitated that we were coming in. As we were quickly grabbing pencils, folders, etc., the second employee came up behind us to reinforce "we are closing in a few minutes". There was one girl at the register and a line of customers. It should be clearly posted they close early on a Saturday, I looked for the hours when I saw the gates being pulled and there weren't any posted. We heared you the first time saying you were closing. It doesnt take long to grab stuff at Staples. If you don't want to manage retail hours..find a job where you don't have to interact with customers. Maybe consider have your henchmen open a second register instead of stalking customers telling them to get out. Customer service is lacking these days, and you wonder why it's hard to find good employees? You can do a little better here. Would you rather everyone shop online instead of taking the time to come and support your retail establishment? The girl at the register was pleasant and the store seemed cleaned. Just wish the manager wasn't grooming the employees to...
Read moreI'm a local artist and I've scanned 5 or 6 11x14 watercolor paintings here. The first time, an employee helped me use the self service scanner. I asked what dpi the machines scanned at because it just said low, med hi quality, etc., and she had no clue. Oh well, I picked the highest one and the process was pretty easy after that.
When I went home and opened the file, the resolution was way too low. I needed 600 DPI to create prints and I think it was around 75. So I brought the painting back to staples, and there was a different employee manning the copy center. This employee was really helpful, scanned my art on the big scanner behind the counter, let me come around and look at the file to make sure it was okay, and that was that. Great..unfortunately most of the time when I come here, that first employee is working. She uses the big scanner for me now but doesn't seem to know anything about the settings and the images are always super overexposed, which is hard to fix in photoshop. I've called around a few print shops and still haven't found a local place that does scanning at high resolutions.. if anyone knows of a place near Bethlehem, let me know! It adds hours to my...
