Old Brewery Tavern — Restaurant in Bethlehem

Used to be a really great bar. I stopped by the other day for the first time in about 6 months, I used to go there like twice a week. They stopped doing dollar drinks on Thursdays (which was the main attraction for most) and raised the price of a pitcher of PBR from 5 to 6 dollar (this I can understand). From what I gathered they don't want to be known as a college bar, which unfortunately due to their close proximity to Moravian College, that's exactly what they should be. Thursdays used to be crazy packed and it was a good place to meet friends for a quick drink for cheap, now it's just dead... Really poor business decision especially with Roosevelt's closing. Now everyone seems to be going to the Southside...

OBT is a fun place. I'm so glad they re-opened. It's a great corner bar that has a charm all its own & a steady clientele ranging from college students to loyal regulars of all ages. Their bouncers & security keep control of the crowd & do not tolerate aggression. Bartenders are great & drinks are reasonable. Food is limited. Seating is at the bar, or there is a side room with tables. Entertainment includes pool tables, darts, TV's visible from everywhere, and jukebox-style music. Fancy? Heck no! This my old school (from my college years), bar. It's been around forever a stood the test of time, and the ultimate test (COVID), and it still stands tall. They have great drink prices and all their drink products are extremely reasonable. If you're in the Lehigh Valley you must stop in and relax at the OBT!!! You won't be disappointed. Just remember, they don't serve food there...
