We decided to get the $20 meal deal from the app. We pulled up to the drive-through with the coupon code ready. The order taker politely greeted us & we provided the code no problem. The code includes 2 original chicken sandwiches, 2 whoppers, 2 10-pc nuggets, 2 double cheeseburgers, 4 small fries, and 4 small drinks. We also asked for an 8 piece mozzarella stick. Once the order was placed we asked if the four small drinks could be consolidated into two larger cups. The order taker said no problem & marked 2 of the 4 drinks as medium, up charging $.20 each. We tried to explain that we did not want four separate drinks, that we were hoping they could take the four smaller drinks, that come out automatically and pour them into two larger drinking vessels, whether it is two mediums or two large cups. The order taker did not seem to understand that this cup swap did not need to be put into the computer system and it was simply a kind gesture of convenience.
We then said that we would accept the 4 small drinks if it would just make it easier for them. It is to be noted that we were the only people in line at this time and there were no cars ahead of us so we knew that we had their full attention. The order taker was confused & asked us to come to the window to start over. We obliged and when we got to the window we provided the code all over again and the eight piece mozzarella stick accepting the 4 small drinks to make it easy.
We paid & the other worker whose 1st language is Spanish seemEd to understand that we wanted just 2 larger drinks instead of 4 small drinks. She handed these to us while the order taker took our money.
The order taker than asked if we wanted any sauce with the nuggets and we replied “zesty barbecue & some catchup packets please, thank you so much, sorry for the confusion again.” The order came out pretty quickly & we were very pleased with that however because of previous experiences, we began to check our bag. Within about 30 seconds we were asked to move which is understandable because they said they needed to keep their timer low. Having worked in fast food for a number of years while in school I knew that all they needed to do was press a button unless things have changed, and there was nobody behind us, but we are obliged & moved to the parking space adjacent from the window.
Upon inspection there were no mozzarella sticks inside of the bag so I approached the window after one car went through & explained that we did not receive any mozzarella sticks. The manager came to the window, or shift leader, and explained that the kitchen, after much discussion amongst each other, needed to cook some. I replied “OK no problem” and was told that I could wait in my car and they would be brought out to me which I thanked them very much for & smiled.
In three minutes the mozzarella sticks came as they were promised however I quickly looked inside the bag to see that no marinara sauce. I turned & said “excuse me!” Out my window but was ignored. Bewildered, I drove around to the speaker instead of getting out of my car this time & waiting to be waited on.
The order taker acknowledged my vehicle and I said “hello, I am sorry, it seems there’s no marinara in the mozzarella sticks that you just delivered could we please have some?” We were asked to drive up. At the window I was given 2 marinara sauces but asked if it would be ok for our trouble to get more zesty sauce. The guy seemed very displeased at this point despite my overwhelming politeness but obliged and gave me just 1 zesty sauce. We did not feel accommodated at all and we are not sure why. We did everything clearly & concisely as possible we did not hold up a line they were not busy. I saw at least 5 different employees so, it did not seem that they were understaffed either. They just seemed very unhappy to be there? How hard was our request for 2 lg cups instead of 4 sm and putting mozz stix in w/marinara?! We were so polite, why such awful, sloppy service? Laughable honestly. We had to go back 2x to get our...
Read moreI went through the drive through I ordered a cheese burger kids meal with no pickles or mustard with ONLY KETCHUP! Guess what my kid got everything I asked them not to put on it, next I ordered a number 4 no pickles meal with onion rings on the side and guess what I got when I got to the window I was handed a kids meal with the cheese burger wrong! And a side of onion rings! I asked her where my number 4 was that I ordered and she asked me to wait because she never actually took the full order. Then she hands me a bag with a whopper jr in a bag, when I got home I opened our food and the whopper jr is drenched in mayo the bread was soaked in mayo! It was soggy and mayo dripping everywhere. I don’t want my whopper swimming in mayo it was just disgusting and disgraceful. On top of that all I tried to take a few bites of it because that was suppose to be my dinner and all I could taste is pickles there was no pickles in it but you can smell the juice on the bread and the meat! And then the lettuce was slimmy! Don’t waste your money cause that was worse than dog food. Worse experience ever! That was a waste of money because the food went in the trash never going to a BK again. WENDYS FROM...
Read moreNot sure what it is with this particular location and gift cards, but I've never had so many issues using gift cards for any retailer, let alone for food.
I occasionally get BK gift cards through my work and only this particular location has ever had an issue. I would understand a 1-time issue or something but after my 5th time having an issue and maybe a 40% success rate on using them at this location, that's enough.
During my last time, the first person at the window didn't know how to use it as a form of payment. After a few min, she went and get a shift leader or manager. She tried and just said they don't work and to call the number on the back. I still had the online balance up on my phone as I checked before I went. Didn't matter and she just kept saying I have to call. I did call and they said everything on the gift cards is fine and gave me the balance that matched the online system. Went to BK in Danvers and used them no problem.
Using gift cards has to be retail or food management 101. This place needs a...
