Just worked a ten hour shift, so figured I’d have Amato’s for dinner purely starving. I’m not one to write such reviews but I’m hangry about this. Clearly asked the fella at the cash register for just a large ham & cheese with light pickle nothing else. Got home to enjoy my dinner to open my sandwich that’s fully loaded with no pickles. The guy at the register couldn’t even figure out how to ring up a pbr beer pounder can so I should’ve known better but this is the last time I’ll be coming to this location. Go to the Amato’s in Saco you’ll be giving them 5 stars across the board no issue. Clearly the employees/new hires need proper training when he’s having issues running a pos system and taking orders from customers. He’s not to blame but the management/ownership needs to overlook such things occurring at this location. So thank you Biddeford Amato’s I’ll enjoy my stale pazzo bread from the warmer because I’m not driving 20 mins back when you guys...
Read moreBorn and raised in Maine, I have always loved Amatos. This particular time I went in and got an italian sandwich with turkey and extra extra olives. All the ingredients were still amazingly fresh and delicious just how I remember them. Update: Dropped from 5 stars to 3. This place has really gone downhill. Unripe tomatoes being used for sandwiches Got my order wrong Vibe from the crew was consistent with not caring at all about food quality or customer experience. I hope they fix this or I'll be taking my business to elsewhere. Update: Visit 3. I will not be returning here as they have clearly given up. Ordered the Little Stuffers. They were not seasoned with the customary garlic butter and parmesan that they should have. They were thrown together with no regard for presentation or quality and were falling apart. What a disappointment. You can tell by the lack of response to these reviews that the owner doesn't care about...
Read moreWalked in at 7:45. There was a customer waiting for food. I looked at the menu for 20 seconds and was about to order. Guy by the oven exclaims joyfully “I’m shutting this down and no one can stop meeeee!” Other, bearded gentleman with glasses says, “No hot food dude,” to me. Glad to see that an ‘I don’t give a shit about my job, business or its customers’ attitude is alive and well here. I hope you gentlemen made the best of the 3 minutes added to the beginning of your evening gained by losing my business. As a customer I’m annoyed just enough to say something. As a business owner—I would be taking a good, long look in the mirror at the culture that I have allowed to develop within...
